Did I mention that I'm still new in this heroic gig? I mean, who passes out during a battle? When I opened my eyes, I wasn't in the cave anymore. It looked like something like a castle. I was in the throne room. Black marble on the walls. A chandelier that would've made the camp directors at Golden Arrow Summer Camp green with envy. What scared me was the empty throne. It was obviously, you guessed it, black. It was made out of skeletons. I wondered if it was comfortable. "This is what we could've achieved if only you joined me", Masoumeh said from behind me. I turned around to face her. "But you had to be... human and choose family over immortality and infinite power", she said. "You were gonna suck the powers out if me and destroy the world. Where do I fit in that picture", I scowled. "We could've worked things out", she shrugged. I took my bow and loaded an arrow. Masoumeh's expression darkened. "You still dare to oppose me", she said as she shook her head. "How do you still have powers if you transferred them to me", I asked. Did I perhaps, transfer then to her while she was controlling me? "I took my sister's mere essence. What was left of it anyway", she said as if she just borrowed her sister's earrings without asking. I thought about how many people she manipulated. Her son was forced to stay in that cave with her. How did he get there. "He was killed after my people thought I was dead. But I liked calling them my worshippers. They thought my son would end up like me, so they 'killed' him and buried him with me", she said reading my mind. Ouch. "Get out of my head", I shot my arrow but she vanished. "You're still naive", she said her voice filling the whole room. "How will you defeat me exactly?", she asked. How will I? Then it clicked. Her physical formed dissolved and her conscious lived on. So if I keep her long enough to destroy before it's too late, I might have a chance to save the world. And this was happening in my mind. So I'm in control. "You'll see", I said with a smirk on my face. I saw a drop coming from the chandelier. Perfect. I focused hard on the water. I imagined a waterfall. How beautiful it is with its powerful gushes. A few seconds later, water came down into the throne room. I tried to control the water and divert it to Masoumeh's direction. I tried pulling her out of the darkness using the water. I brought her towards my feet. She was soaking wet. But she was fires up. "I see you've learnt some tricks", she said as she stood up. "But I have better", she said. Her form started changing. Her size grew and grew. Wings started to form. Her hands become paws. Her face was a mid between a lion and an eagle. A Griffin. She charged at me with such speed, I didn't have time to gasp. She scratched my chest leaving marks. Then I started to bleed. I fell to the ground, my hands on my chest. It stung. I couldn't breathe. When I looked at Masoumeh, she bared her teeth. Before she could charge again, I took my bow and arrow and shot at her leg. She roared in pain. She changed back to normal. Her arm was bleeding. Her blood was black as the like her cold, dead eyes. She pulled the arrow out and screamed. She looked at me with her eyes filled with hatred. Her form was changing again. She stood on all four. Her fur was grey. She had sharp, razor teeth. She was a wolf but bigger than you average wolf. She charged at me again but I quickly rolled over. I checked to see if I had my quiver with me. I had the quiver but I couldn't find my arrows. Masoumeh bared her teeth in what looked like a smile. Now I see why wolves don't smile. Her smile looked so human. It was creepy. She lunged towards me. Then I remembered the sword I took with me. I wielded it and stabbed Masoumeh in the chest. She howled in pain and stepped back. No more games. Time to end this once and for all, I heard her say in my mind. She grew wings. Her nails got sharper. She got bigger she almost filled up the thine room. Her fur faded away and her skin was scale-y. She turned into a dragon. But since she was dramatic, she burst into flames. She kind of looked like a phoenix. Then she looked at me. Goodbye, Blaire Levesque. Then she spat fire at me.
