The day passed by slow and before I knew it school was over. Minji hadn’t been around all day which was weird but I just figured she needed some space or something. Whatever it was she was no where to be found so I walked home to continue being grounded. When I walked in my house I immediately went upstairs and threw my stuff on the bed.
I went to my computer and continued to work on my audition song. The only thing left was recording the rap. I looked over at my microphone in it’s stand and smiled. This was my favorite part of recording. I walked over to the microphone and put on the headphones. I started the music.
When I recorded I felt like I was in my own world. The music seemed to be a part of me and the rap just seemed to flow out. No matter what I was always ready to record because that’s when I’m happiest. It’s also usually why I don’t get any sleep but when I become famous I’ll probably just sleep all the time to make up for it.
I finished my rap and the music stopped. I took of the headphones and went over to my computer to check the finished product. When I was satisfied with it I attached the song to an email and sent it to the company. All I had to do now was wait on a reply. If I got one.
I looked at the clock and saw it was only the middle of the day. I checked my phone to see if Minji had tried to call but there was no messages. I sighed and leaned back in my chair. Looks like it would be a really boring day.
My phone rang and I quickly answered it expecting it to be Minji.
“Hello?”
“Yoongi! It’s Seokjin. How have you been?” I moaned but really I was happy to hear from him.
“I’m fine hyung.” I said simply.
Seokjin laughed on the other end. “And how about Minji? Is she doing okay after being around you?”
“Minji is fine. What’s so bad about me?” I questioned.
“If I have to tell you then you don’t need to know.”
I laughed. “Okay, but hyung how’s it going in Seoul?”
Seokjin paused for a minute before answering. “It’s going good.”
I knew he was lying but I knew he didn’t want to talk about it. “That’s good. I might be moving to Seoul soon too. I sent an audition song to a company.”
“That’s awesome Yoongi. You can come visit me any time.” Seokjin said.
I heard yelling in the background. “What was that?” I questioned.
“Um, nothing. I have to go but make sure you tell me when you get to Seoul.” Seokjin hung up the phone and I just stared at it for a minute.
That was really weird.
I throw my phone on my bed and go to the shower. I shower for almost an hour before my mom starts yelling at me to stop using all the hot water. What can I say, showers are the best place to think. Still I get out of the shower to make my mom happy and get dressed.
I flop down on my bed and grab my phone. I look and see I have one missed message from Minji.
Don’t forget we have community service tomorrow. Meet me at the Grandmother’s house after school.
Did everyone just feel like being weird today? I replied telling her I’d meet her there and rolled over on my bed. It was only around 7 o’clock but I had nothing better to do so I pulled my blanket up over my head and fell asleep.
