“Where were you!” My mom shouted as soon as I walked in the front door.
“Um, volunteering at the animal shelter with Minji.” I said smiling at my mom.
She continued to study my face. “Sure you were. Go up to your room and go to bed, you have school tomorrow.”
I nodded and ran up the stairs. As soon as I got to my room I sat down in front of the computer and pulled up my video. I stared at the screen trying to figure out if it was broken or not. It said my song had two million views. I stop myself from freaking out since my mom thought I was asleep.
I scrolled down the screen to the comment section and looked through most of the comments. A lot of them were people asking for more songs or asking me to do a concert. I felt proud that people thought my music was good. If I wasn’t grounded for probably the rest of my life I would set up a concert but I don’t think I can trick my mom that much. Even if I could she would just find out and kill me.
When I finished reading the comments I turn of my computer and climbed into my bed. I’d like to say I went to bed but really early. I layed in bed and smiled at the ceiling thinking out how everything was working out right now. Eventually I fell asleep and was woke up almost immediately after by my mom telling me to get ready for school. I rolled over and groaned. When I’m done with school the only thing I’m going to do is sleep and write music.
For now though, I got up and got ready for school. Same old uniform. Same old routine. I walked out the front door and headed towards school as slowly as I could.
When I arrived at school I walked up to the front door and almost got knocked over by Jimin running out the door.
“Kookie, you can’t move to Seoul!” He shouted into a phone as he ran out the front gate.
I shook my head at him and walked into the school. A lot of kids were standing in the hallway talking waiting for the bell to ring. I was to tired to talk to people so I went into my homeroom and sat at my desk so I could take a nap.
For once in my life I actually got to take a nap because Namjoon didn’t show up at school. When the bell rang his seat was still empty. It was an unusual sight because he was the best student in our school. Not that he ever acted like it.
When the homeroom teacher walked in a new student walked in behind her.
“Everyone this is our new transfer student and he will be part of this homeroom.” She said and the awkward boy bowed.
The boy introduced himself and the classroom did all the typical hello things. When all that was over the teacher pointed at Namjoon’s seat and told the boy that was his seat.
“Class. I regret to tell you that Namjoon has moved and will not be attending this school any more.” The teacher said.
I stared at her like she was insane. There’s no way Namjoon had moved, I mean I had fought with him yesterday. It’s Namjoon, he has to be here to annoy me. For the rest of class I continued to stare at the new kid sitting in Namjoon’s seat.
When class was over I went to my homeroom teacher to ask about Namjoon.
“Teacher. Did Namjoon say where he was moving to?” I asked.
The teacher looked at me like I was really weird. “No he didn’t. Was there something important you needed to tell him?”
“Uh, yes something really important.” The teacher stared at me for a few seconds and wrote down something on a piece of paper and handed it to me.
“That’s Namjoon’s number. Don’t tell anyone I gave it to you.” She quickly turned around and left.
I headed outside and dialed the number on the piece of paper. After a few rings Namjoon answered.
“Hello?”
“Namjoon it’s me, Yoongi.” I said
He paused for a second. “I don’t know anyone by the name of Yoongi. The only person I know is Suga.”
I laughed. “Well that’s me too and I want to know where you are.”
“Where else would I be? I’m in Seoul.” He answered simply.
I was in shock and didn’t answer for a few seconds. “Why are you in Seoul?”
“I got signed with a company.”
I felt my soul break just a little because Namjoon was in Seoul living my dream. “Oh, well I guess you’ll find better people to fight with there.”
I heard Namjoon laughing. “There’s lots of people to fight with but don’t think you get off that easy. I plan on destroying you in the future, Suga.”
“Same for you Namjoon.” I said.
“My name’s not Namjoon any more. It’s Rap Monster now.” As soon as he said it I started laughing.
“What kind of name is Rap Monster?” I questioned.
“The name that’s going to be above yours on all the charts.” He said.
I stopped laughing. “Is that a challenge?”
“You bet it is.” He said and hung up.
I stared at that phone. I was going to kill that idiot when I got to Seoul. There’s no way he was going to be better than me.
I heard the bell ring and I put my phone in my pocket and made my way to the next class.
