Taming Yoongi

A Double Date

        A few minutes after I met Taehyung's boyfriend Hoseok, all four of us were off to the amusement park for a double date. A double date was not something I had ever done so I could already tell this was going to be an interesting experience. For Minji though, I would try my best to enjoy it. Minji had never been to an amusement park so I was determined to make it a fun experience.

        When we got there me and Hoseok went to pay for tickets. The line was huge and it seemed like it would take hours before we would ever get to the front. To say I wasn't very happy would be an understatement but at least Hoseok seemed like a cool guy.

        "Hey Yoongi, do you rap?" Hoseok asked out of the blue while we were still standing in line.

        "Um a little. Why?" I questioned because as far as I knew Taehyung hadn't told him I was a rapper.

        Hoseok shrugged his shoulders. "I listen to a lot of underground rappers and you looked familiar and I recognized your name."

        I smiled happy that someone knew me. "I don't really go by Yoongi anymore."

        Hoseok looked at me surprised. "Then what's your stage name?"

        "Suga." I said simply.

        "You're Suga!" Hoseok shouted.

        Why does everyone shout that! "Yes I'm Suga, now stop shouting." I looked around and several people were staring at us.

        "I can't believe you're Suga! You're song was awesome. You're already practically famous." Hoseok smiled his almost permanent smile.

        Hoseok seemed impressed. I was still a little confused. So many people had already heard my song, like it hadn't been up for even a day yet. I mean I guess it was good but I had never been famous before. I might have to get use to it.

        For the rest of the time that me and Hoseok stood in line we talked about underground rappers and different bands that were good. We had a lot of the same taste so I could say I at least approved of Taehyung's boyfriend. Hoseok was also a dancer and was interested in trying to learn how to rap. I told him if he ever wanted to work together he should make sure to call me.

        When we finally reached the front of the line we got our tickets and went to find Minji and Taehyung. We found them sitting under a tree trying to get out of the hot sun. When we got closer I realized that both of them had fallen asleep against the trunk of the tree. Me and Hoseok smiled at each other and looked back at our dates.

        "How should we wake them up?" Hoseok asked.

        "That's a good question. How about we make a earthquake?" I looked over at Hoseok and he understood exactly what I meant.

        Hoseok walked behind the tree and grabbed onto one of the low branches and climbed into the tree. He climbed over to the branches directly above Taehyung and Minji. He looked down and me and gave a thumbs up signal. I held up three fingers and started to count down to one.

        3..... 2..... 1....

        "Minji, Taehying wake up, earthquake!" I shouted as Hoseok started to jump up and down on the branches making the tree shake and leaves to fall off.

        Minji and Taehyung woke up startled and freaked out. They ran away and after a few seconds they had realized what had happened. Hoseok had come down from the tree and we stood under the tree laughing. When Minji walked over to me she glared at me. I looked over at Hoseok and saw that Taehyung was glaring at him to.

        "Let's go in the amusement park now okay?" I said hoping Taehyung and Minji would forget about this.

        They both turned around and walked towards the gate with me and Hoseok following behind slowly knowing we were going to have to make it up to them. I sighed and we all walked into the amusement park.

        As soon as we entered Minji's eyes light up and she smiles back at me. "What's the best thing to do at an amusement park?" She asked.

        "Um , well I guess go on rides and just play games." I said.

        She looked at me like I was crazy. "But which ride is the best?"

        "That one over there." Taehyung said pointing to the Ferris wheel.

        Minji smiled. "It looks like fun lets go!”

        Minji grabbed my hand and pulled me after her towards the Ferris wheel. I could tell she had already forgot about the fake earthquake, by the way she was smiling. At least she wouldn’t be mad at me the whole time we were here now.

        When we arrived the conductor waved us into one of the carts and pulled the bar down. The whole time Minji was smiling the biggest smile I had ever seen. When we got to the top of the Ferris wheel she looked down at all the people and smiled. Me on the other hand I looked at the sky. I wasn’t afraid of heights but I didn’t like to look at the place I would land if I fell.

        “Yoongi, isn’t it amazing?” Minji asked staring at the ground in amazement.

        I watched her while she smiled at everything around her. I felt my heart start to beat faster and I quickly looked away. “Yes, it’s amazing.”

        When we got off the Ferris wheel we waited for Taehyung and Hoseok. When they came down from the Ferris wheel Taehyung was holding on to Hoseok’s arm and he looked terrified.

        “The Ferris wheel wasn’t as fun as I thought it would be.” Taehyung said and we all laughed.

        For the rest of the time we were there we rode different rides and ate weird foods. It was like any normal double date, if you could call it that.

        At the end of the night we all went our separate ways. Taehyung and Hoseok left together and I agreed to walk Minji home. I had never been to her house so I thought it would be a good idea to finally see it and maybe meet her mom if she was home. I don’t know was that weird? It’s not like I had ever had enough girlfriends to know.

        “Yoongi, thank you for going with me today it was a lot of fun.” Minji said walking beside me.

        I grabbed her hand and laced my fingers through hers. “What else are boyfriends for?”

        Minji blushed bright red and stared down at the sidewalk. I laughed a little and we continued to walk.

        Minji’s house was not very far from my own. It was only a few streets down. I can’t believe I had never seen her before. Her house was the house at the very end of her street and it was cute. The front door had a welcome sign on it and when we arrived a light was on and I knew Minji’s mom was waiting on her to come home.

        Wait, her mom…. Oh my gosh…. MY MOM! I totally forgot I was grounded!

        I let go of Minji’s hand and got ready to run. “Um Minji I have to go. I forgot I was grounded and my mom’s going to kill me when I get home.”

        Minji grabbed my arm to stop me. “Don’t worry about it I called her while you were getting tickets and told her we were doing community service.”

        “Wait how did you get my mom’s number?” I questioned.

        She just shrugged her shoulders. “The principal gave it to me.”

        “You are a genius.” I hugged her tight and she awkwardly hugged me back.

        When I let go she turned around and started walking towards her front door. She walked half way when she turned around and ran back to me. She quickly kissed me on the cheek and ran inside.

        Like an idiot I stood there for a few minutes and smiled at the door before realizing what I was doing. I shook my head and started to walk home.
