3 Years Later
I put my letter in the drop off box and let out a sigh. For the past three years I have sent a letter to Minji every day but today I was sending off my last letter. Tomorrow was my first concert with my band and my official debut.
When Minji had rejected me I realized that I had no reason to stay so I left for Seoul and made it in time for my audition. That day I became a trainee at BigHit Entertainment. At first I was happy but then I had met the other trainees and Namjoon was one of them. Over the past three years we had grown to like each other but at first it was hard.
The next year I had been surprised when Seokjin and Hoseok had become trainees at the same company. We all quickly became part of the same group and were expected to debut but it was postponed. All of us were upset but it turned out to be best for all of us. None of us were ready to debut and the band didn’t have enough singers.
This year when all the new trainees had been introduced we were all excited. The group of trainees had Jungkook, Jimin and Taehyung. Immediately after they were all introduced we became a band set for debut. We trained non stop and tomorrow was our official debut and everyone was excited.
“Yoongi!” I heard someone call out to me.
I looked down the street a little and saw all the guys coming towards me. “What are you guys doing?”
Taehyung walked over to me. “Well seeing as you’re here at this time everyday we thought we would come get you because we’re going out to celebrate.”
“Hyung, we debut tomorrow aren’t you excited?” Jungkook questioned.
I looked at the drop off box one last time and put on a fake smile. “Of course I am let’s go.”
As a group we all headed to a restaurant to celebrate. When we walked into the restaurant the owner greeted us because we come here way too often. We sat down at a table and immediately the food was brought out. I guess they were expecting us. Everyone dug in and ate as much as they could hold without throwing up.
“Hyung, I don’t see why you still send those letters.” Jimin said in between bites of food. “I mean you’ve never gotten a reply before.”
Seokjin hit Jimin on the back of the head. “Just eat your food.” he said while glaring at Jimin.
They all continued to eat but I had lost my appetite so I went to pay for the meal and told them I would meet them at the dorm later. I walked outside and took in a deep breath. I looked around trying to figure out what I should do before going to the dorm. I was about to walk to the bus stop when I saw a familiar girl across the street.
I paused for a second and looked at her trying to figure out why she looked so familiar. She had long dark brown hair and was rather short. She wasn’t out of the ordinary but she was pretty. I continued to stare at her when I finally realized I was looking at Minji. I felt my heart rate speed up just by looking at her.
I started to make my way across the street to talk to her because I had a lot of questions that were still unanswered. Why had she rejected me? Did she really hate me that much? Why did she wait so long to tell me? All these questions still needed answers and I planned on getting those answers.
I made it halfway across the street before she noticed me. When she saw me her eyes got really wide and I saw the shock in her face. It only took a few seconds for the shock to wear off and she took of at a run down the street.
