For the next two weeks me and Minji continued to be awkward around each other but it was only because I was getting everything ready for the day I graduated. I had a plan to convince Minji that I wasn’t going to leave. I don’t know if it was a good plan but I had managed to convince people to help so it must be a pretty good plan.
When graduation day came around I made sure I had everything I needed and tried to calm my nerves. I walked to school just like any other day but on the way there I had to wait on a few people.
“Yoongi!” I looked down the sidewalk from where I was standing and saw Jin running towards me.
“Hyung.” Jin rushed up to me and gave me a hug.
“Let me just tell you if Minji still turns you down after this I might cry.” Jin said.
I slightly smiled at him. “Me and you both.”
Just then a group of three people walked up to me and Jin. “Hyung I want you to meet Jungkook.” Jimin said happily as he threw his arm around the boy I had seen in the club such a long time ago.
“Hi.” He said shyly.
“Don’t forget about me.” Taehyung whined.
“Of course I didn’t forget about you but where’s Hoseok?” I questioned.
Taehyung frowned. “He’s going to meet us at school because he woke up late.”
I nodded and looked down the street to see if the last person I was waiting on was nearby somewhere. We all continued to talk and waited a few minutes before he finally showed up.
He walked toward us awkwardly and stood at the back of the group. “Hey Namjoon.” I said.
“Hey.” He simply said.
Now that everyone was here we all started to make our way to the school. When we arrived the Namjoon, Jungkook and Jin all went to the gym with the other visitors and Jimin and Taehyung went to look for Minji to make sure she was going to be at the graduation ceremony. As for me I walked to the classroom where all the graduates were getting ready.
After an hour of awkwardly sitting in a room with a hundred other people we finally went to the gym for the graduation ceremony. I walked in the gym with everyone else and immediately looked for Minji. I saw her awkwardly sitting between Jimin and Taehyung. I let out a sigh and tried to make myself calm down.
When everyone was seated in the gym the principal got up to say his speech and that was my cue to go back stage with everyone else. When we were all backstage we got our microphones and got ready to go out on stage. Hoseok smiled at me and I was glad he had finally made it. Everyone was nervous and you could tell. We had only had two weeks to prepare but we still had to do our best.
Just then the principals speech finished and he introduced us. “A group of past and present students have prepared a performance for us.” He said and the curtains opened.
We were welcomed by warm applause and I looked at Minji. I saw her smile a little at the sight of me on stage and I felt my heart leap. I felt someone tap me on the shoulder and I realized I was suppose to be talking.
I took a deep breath. “This song was made by someone special to me and I hope she doesn’t mind that I finished it.”
Minji’s eyes got wide as she realized I was talking about the song we had made so long ago. I smiled and turned around to look at the guys. They all nodded and the music started.
