Kamiyu opposes her parents ideas; in clothes, in hobbies, even in her college degree. She never wanted a PhD. She never liked ballet. This was all her parents' doing.

Kamiyu, Kuina, Chishiya, Usagi and Arisu all gathered up in Arisu's room for their own private meeting. Chishiya was going to let them know how the plan will take place and give his instructions on how it's going to happen.
"So what's gonna happen is; first, Arisu will infiltrate the royal suite. It goes without saying, all the cards are kept by the Number 1." Chishiya states, facing Arisu. "Then he will search for the safe and steal all the playing cards inside."
Kamiyu was standing beside Chishiya, biting her lips anxiously. She trusted Chishiya's plan, but something in her felt like it wasn't just that. She knows Chishiya well enough to know that what he's planning isn't really as it seems.
"T-take it? But how am I going to be able to do that?" Arisu asks, his voice shaking. He wondered how much he has to risk himself just to get those cards.
"As I've said," Chishiya states. "You will infiltrate the royal suite. There's a safe inside. But only the Number 2 gets to know where the safe is."
Arisu nods before a question pops up in his head. "What about the passcode?"
"I have an idea of that. I'll tell you when you're in front of the safe." Chishiya answers with a smirk.
There it is. The only sentence to confirm Kamiyu's suspicions toward his plans. She knew Chishiya wasn't going to completely give his plan up in one go. He had something up his sleeves and Kamiyu wanted to find out before Arisu gets hurt during the process.
Chishiya places a small walkie talkie in the glass table in front of him. Arisu looks at him with suspicion in his eyes. He's not sure if he should go through with the plan, but he's not in the position to turn the plan down and create one himself.
All the while, Kamiyu's eyes go back and forth between the two of them. Her heart was pumping 5x more than normal, but what could she do? Chishiya was the one with the plan. She can't be nowhere as smart as him even if she tried. He knew how to read people with just a simple look at them.
"You're really cautious." Arisu says, his eyes only looking at Chishiya. He then grabs the walkie talkie in front of him. "I got it."
"Usagi and Kuina will be on the lookout." Chishiya reassures him.
"This is too dangerous. If we're discovered, we'll be killed." Usagi says under her breath. She looks at Kamiyu, her eyes squinted and nods at her. "What about her? What does she do?"
"She'll be with me. We're both exclusive members, we can't just disappear." Chishiya explains.
Kamiyu stands up and pours herself some whiskey to calm her nerves. She was sweating, despite the air being cold around them. Especially with the doors of the balcony being open and the curtains drawn out. She quickly gulps down the whiskey and sighs, not saying a word.
Arisu turns to Usagi, giving her a reassuring smile. "This is the only way to change the current situation. Now that the Hatter is dead and there's no unity at the Beach, the time is right for this plan."
Kamiyu pours another glass of whiskey and quickly drowns it. Shot after shot, as the others still continue to talk about the plan, she feels quite tipsy. Not much, but she definitely feels the kick of what she was drinking.
She stands up abruptly, startling everyone in the room. "Look, if you guys really want to do this, I'm in. But for now. I'll have to enjoy my final dose of happiness. I might not come out of here alive, like you guys."
Spending all this time in the Borderland, she's slowly giving up on hope for herself. If there was someone she'd risk her life for, no matter the situation, it would definitely be Chishiya.
She knew she wasn't smart enough to conquer all these games, so what's wrong with helping someone who will. There's not much life for her in the real world anyway.
Kamiyu grabs the bottle of whiskey on the table and takes a swig of it, leaving the room. Chishiya stands up to follow her before looking over his shoulder. "Remember the plan, Arisu. It's up to you now."
Arisu nods as Chishiya heads out the door, following behind Kamiyu. He grabs her by the elbow which made her drop the bottle, causing a loud breaking sound in the hallway.
Kamiyu turns to him and pouts. "Shuntaro, do you even know what it feels like to be happy?"
"The only time I felt it was when you were in my arms." Chishiya wanted to say, but he stays silent. He just looked at Kamiyu in her eyes, his grip on her elbow still there.
Kamiyu shakes his hand off and walks away, shaking her head. "Never mind, you were the wrong person to ask."
"I-" Chishiya calls out. "I have, you know."
Kamiyu stops dead in her tracks and looks back at him with a smile on her face. "I'm sorry, for being insensitive. I j-"
Chishiya doesn't let her finish, he grabs her by her arm once again and leads her to his suite. He leads her toward the balcony and makes her sit on the soft bench outside. He leaves her to grab a glass of water and hands it to her. Kamiyu takes a sip of it and smiles at nothing.
"More, Kamiyu. You're a doctor, you should know that alcohol can be very dehydrating to the body." Chishiya says nonchalantly.
Kamiyu smiles and goes on to drink the whole glass. She sets the glass down beside the bench and pats the space next to her. Chishiya understands and sits beside her. "You know, there's not much life waiting for me out in the real world."
Chishiya snaps his head to her, his brows furrowing. "What makes you say that?"
"You know my family, they're very controlling of what I do. I may be an adult, but I still follow my parents. It's funny really, I don't know what's keeping me there. No matter how much I hate it, I still follow them." Kamiyu expresses her thoughts.
She sighs, before a dead silence wraps around them both. The only sounds they could hear were the bass from the people partying at the pool area, accompanied by the occasional blowing of the wind.
Long minutes passed, another gush of night air flowed through the balcony making Kamiyu shiver. Chishiya goes to remove his windbreaker when a hand wraps around his arm, stopping him from doing so. He looks at her confused.
"Chi," Kamiyu says quietly, gathering up the courage to speak her mind. "I think I'd prefer your hug over your windbreaker."
Chishiya's lips curl up to a smile as he moves closer to her, placing her legs on his lap and letting her wrap her arms around him.
He still was able to remove his windbreaker so he places it around her and puts his chin on top of her head as he closes his eyes, taking in the sweet moment before it's gone.
