I can't be staying here and safely sit as if nothing happened to Montel.

A douchebag just touched him and thought he can get away with it. I am so angry to myself that I wasn't able to get in between and directly just punched that guy right on his face.

I let Ellie did the work.

And now, he's the superhero everyone wants to have.

I should've done my part way before Ellie did.

I'm so stupid.

"Where is he?" I asked Anna as she entered the gym looking so bland and emotionless.

She didn't answer me. Grabbed her things and started working with the team.

She is uncomfortable.

"Wait, Anna where is Mon?" I asked her as I grabbed her arm.

"Why's everyone so worried about Montel?!" She screamed as she grabbed everyone's attention..

"..why can't we just do our job now and finish this event so we can rest and worry nothing?!" she continued.

I am so confused onto why is she acting like this.

She was okay earlier.

"Anna, just calm down. I am just asking where Montel is. I wanna know how is he feeling and see if he's doing fine now.." I said.

She sarcastically laughed.

"He's okay, he's awake, he's fine, he's safe, and there's nothing to worry about. In fact, he's cleaning Ellie's wound now." She continued to act so strangely.

I grabbed her shoulders and said,

"Anna, what's wrong? It's okay. I'll listen.." quietly.

She smiled, turned around and went back to whatever she was doing as if nothing happened.

Everyone was just so shocked about the incident earlier this day and now, Anna is having her own moment. I can't say anything about it.

Girls can sometimes be so unpredictable.

Okay, I'll let you do your own now. You need some space.

But for now, I have to see Montel.

I left my things including my guitar as I looked for him around the campus.

I immediately went to our clinic and see no Mon around.

I went to our room and see no one, but as I passed through the second room, I saw two people.

"Hey.." I said as I walked towards them.

Ellie's face is quite not okay. He has a cut on his lower lip, a black eye and a red spot on the side of his nose.

"Laz, you shouldn't be here. You need to rehearse. It's about 2 hours until the event will start and you haven't properly prepared yet." Sabi ni Mon.

He's currently putting back the things he has used on Ellie's face.

"It's okay. I just wanna see you and ask how have you been. Are you alright?" I asked.

Just right before he can answer,

"Okay lang siya, bro." Ellie interrupted.

I saw him staring at me blandly.

Mon was just confused.

"Ayos lang ako. Maaari na kayong bumalik doon at magrehearse kasi mamaya na ang opening..." Mon said.

"...Thank you, Laz. Let's go?" He continued.

He stood up and put all of the things he used back inside the cabinet hanging at the back of the room.

"You haven't eaten anything yet since this morning so if you want, I can buy you some food. You need to eat." I said to him.

I heard a small crack of cough from behind.

"Kakain kami sabay, bro." Ellie said.

I kind of don't like the way he's saying these words to me.

It appeals to seem possessive as if Mon is obliged to eat with him.

"Hindi, okay lang ako. Ikaw Ellie, maaari ka nang bumalik sa teammates mo at magpaalam sa coach niyo nang makauwi ka kasi hindi masyadong maganda ang kalagayan mo." Ellie said as he grabbed his small bag.

Ellie has said nothing.

I guess this is my chance?

"Can we--" I was interrupted.

"Yeah, sure. We can eat together.." Mon said.

I smiled directly.

I haven't seen him this kind to people. He always does his grumpy look to every single guy out there and now, he's different.

"..Let's eat together with the team real quick so we can use the remaining time preparing." He continued.

My mouth dropped.

"I thought---" I said shockingly.

I heard a little laugh from behind.

"Hopia ka tuloy." Ellie murmured.

I am not gonna let this chance slip away. I have to eat with Mon.

"The team has their own food now. I guess they've gotten full by this time. I waited for you so you have a company.." I said.

He seemed convinced.

"Talaga? Sige kung okay lang sabay nalang tayo, nang makabalik ako agad sa gym." He said.

I smiled at him and smiled a little bit to Ellie as a sign of victory.

I legit wanna know Mon a lot better. He's interesting and he's incredibly strong.

As much as Ellie knows him better than me, I wanna step up my game, too.

This is a strange feeling to me now that I like being with Mon.

I wanna see him everyday. I wanna be beside him when he's not feeling fine.

"What's keeping you so long, Laz?" I heard him saying this to me.

"I was asking you where are we eating? Are you out of this world?" He puts his hands on the both sides of his waist waiting for me to say something.

"I'm sorry hehe, uhm up to you? Where'd you wanna eat?" I asked as I scratched the back of my head.

I was caught off guard.

"Tss. Wag kasing magpahalatang masyado kang excited." I heard Ellie.

"No, I'm not." I replied.

"Wag ka nga Ellie. Umalis ka na, kailangan mong magpahinga." Mon.

"Kita tayo bukas, magpapagaling lang 'tong pogi kong mukha. hehe" He last said as he walked out of the room.

Now, it's just me and Mon.

Honestly, he's looking a lot cuter now that his hair is messy, his shirt is crumpled, and he's not wearing his glasses.

Very different in his everyday fit. He always wears this very neat outfit, he styles his hair cleanly and he wears his glasses all the time.

Now that he's not, I can really see how brown his eyes are.

I can't stare back at his eyes. It's too beautiful. It drives me insane.

"Kwek-kwek nalang tayo, favorite mo eh." He said as he smiled.

This is the first time I saw him smiling at me.

At that very moment I felt something. I felt something in my stomach. This is weird, not normal.

My heart is beating so fast. I don't understand.

I think I'm into something crazy.
