Excitedly, the girl tossed pieces of clothing into a suitcase that was almost filled, a few garments fell off the side of the bed but she was too thrilled to pay much attention to them. She didn't bother to fold anything but fling them as they were found. She went around the room shaking to the music that strums softly from a portable music system along with the new phone the queen gave to her after finding out Petra destroyed her old one.
Was she stoked that two weeks after a vampire almost killed her, she and the woman's ex-lover were taking a business trip down in the country? Yes. Was she worried Petra would somehow find them and try to harm her? Yes, the thought lingered within her mind but the beauty of it was that Adira would be there to protect her or it was what Colette hoped.
Shaking her bum to the music Adira recommended which were explicit and new, Colette giggled at the thought of the woman dancing to those provocative lyrics; she tried to imagine it, Adira bumping and grinding to the songs she played and it ended with her being utterly turned out—it was a sight she'd pay to see. Zoned out while biting her lower lip, Colette finished packing. She made sure she had sufficient clothing before flapping the cover of the suitcase and zipping it up. Slipping it from the bed to the ground, the girl checked the clock in her room and noted there was still enough time left for her to shower and get ready, they won't be living until later that afternoon.
Going over to the speaker, Colette turned the music down. When she swung around attempting to move, she gasped clutching her invisible pearls. How didn't she hear him come in? Glaring at Sam, the girl backed up. She hadn't seen him since the fight with the vampire but she knew he was around. Was he even stable enough to be alone with her? Would he try to hurt her like their first encounter?
"Don't worry," he said, putting both hands up in the air. In one of his hand was a dark coloured cloth he clutched tightly. "I'm not here to hurt you, just wanted to see you for a moment."
"Oh,"
It was awkward, the man regarded her from behind darkened lids, beneath his eyes were bags, he looked like his usual self but tired. She figured that was the disadvantage of dying and coming back as a revenant, you never looked or felt the same. "I know I look awful, it's the price you pay for not wanting to stay dead," Sam confided.
"I'm sorry," Colette apologised.
"Ah forget about it,"
"No, I can't." She inched closer to him. If anyone would've told her on that night he attacked her that she'd stand before him someday about to thank him for defending her she'd call that person insane. "I wanted to say thank you but you weren't around ever since Adira brought you back and now that you are, thank you,"
