"You don't know who I am?" Adira asked, careful not to upset or trigger the nervous girl with any sudden movements. Colette's eyes were big and reflective, she was attentive and she saw the way the dark figure slowly crept over. The girl was confounded and the queen noted the bewilderment on her face and she sympathized. The reason Colette was so baffled was probably because she wasn't used to seeing her in that physicality, and almost immediately the woman shifted. The relief of seeing the girl alive and well calmed her, it gratified her, left her chest humming. The wave-like motion in her body, of the ocean that danced, returned and she coddled the feeling.
Adira's lips curled with a tiny smile.
"Don't come any closer," Colette stated nonetheless, stepping back with a scowl. She couldn't recognize the woman nor the room she was in. Where was she? Where was Hans and Felix and Beth? Was she kidnapped?
"Sweetheart, it's me, Adira," the woman's voice was softer, calmer. A trace of dismay laced her voice but she tried her best to shield it away.
Colette quickly circled the stone table she came off from, hoping it would act as a barricade. She looked down at the odd piece, it was cracked open, the beautiful design carved into its surface was ruined and as she studied it so did Adira. None of the revenants ever broke the table, never once the woman though, she was intrigued, how was the girl able to do that?
"Don't come near me," Colette warned.
She was frightened, she was unstable and nervous and worried but Adira wanted to help her navigate the feeling. Most of the revenants encountered a loss of memory for the first few hours sometimes days but if Colette was turned by Petra that shouldn't be the case however she still wanted to assist the poor girl."I want to help you, Colette, please just let me help you," the woman offered her hand but as she rose it Colette reacted. Adira saw the images of water creatures, of the nymph-like beings and other similar lifeform appear on the girl's exposed arm and legs, brushing against her body like it was a canvas, she became art. A beautiful piece of art that scared the queen. She was finally able to decipher what appeared on her skin and she gasped, not only by the shock of what she discovered but by Colette binding her hands and hooking them behind her back.
Colette influenced the woman's body to remain still and Adira's eyes bulged.
"Colette, what are you doing?" She breathed faster, the excitement and mystery of the situation were intense. No one had ever done that to her before.
"How do you know my name, what am I doing here? What is this place?" The girl was truly conflicted. Tears settled in her eyes and they kept darting around the room as if to spot an ominous figure that would jump out of the darkness and attack her.
"You and I are friends, sweetheart." Said Adira trying her best not to panic or make any more sudden movements again.
"If I'm being honest with you we're more than friends, so how about you allow me to move and I'll explain everything to you, okay?" Asked the woman.
"No!" Colette locked her throat off with just a simple glare.
"Colette!" Adira choked. The invisible grip the girl had around the woman's throat even from afar was violent. The feeling of a cold hand crushing her windpipe certainly fazed her majesty.
"I don't want that, I don't want to talk to you, I need to find a way out of here," the confused girl said. The more she panicked the tighter that mental hold she had around the woman's throat became. And to both of their surprise, the amphoras and other containers that collected water around the room shattered. The two women watched as the water trickled down to the floor making it's way to the hysterical girl. It was attracted to her, like a magnet and it started to form a faceless creature that was pudgy and flexible and it stood by the girl's side almost like a guardian.
