"So what do ya say, Jax?" Diego asked over the phone. "Are you in?"

"Jax! Jax! Help! Alec took my notebook!"

"Hold that thought Diego." Jax sighed and carefully placed the telephone down on his desk.

He jogged down the stairs and wandered into the kitchen, where his younger siblings were arguing.

"You're so annoying!" Alec yelled.

"Why do you always have to take my things? Ugh!" Rowan rolled her eyes.

"Woah, woah! What's going on in here?"

At the same time, the two of them started saying their side of the story.

"Hey! Hey! One at a time!" Jax said, crossing his arms. "Ladies first."

"Alec took my notebook out of my room. I tried to get it back, but he wouldn't budge."

Jax turned to Alec. "Why did you take her notebook?"

"Because I felt like it."

"Don't be obnoxious." Jax sighed. "Just give her notebook back."

"But-"

Jax looked at him.

"Fine." Alec sighed and handed Rowan the book.

"Thank you." She smiled mischievously.

Jax shook his head and walked back up the stairs.

"Wait! You don't want to hear my side of the story?" Alec called.

"No!" Jax shut his bedroom door.

"So what movie?" Jax wondered.

"We're not sure yet. We're just planning to show up and see what's available."

"Oh, okay." Jax considered this. "I can ask....who else is going?"

"Daniel, me, Andi," he said. "And that new girl. Emma."

Jax's heart raced. "Emma?"

"Yes sir." He could hear Diego's smile.

Jax grinned. "I'll be there."
