Jax stood next to the tree that stretched up to Emma's balcony. He laughed to himself as she made her way down the tree, stepping down the vines and pieces of bark that protruded out of the body of the tree.
"We could've gone out the front door, you know," she said, leaping off the trunk of the tree, landing onto a pile of leaves.
"That would kill the adventure!" He added, giving a smile.
"The adventure won't be the only thing that would die tonight," Emma muttered under her breath.
"What was that?" He asked, giving her a smirk.
"Let's go." Emma pursed her lips at him and smiled.

Emma tugged her jacket closer to herself and crossed her arms to maintain the warmth.
"Are you cold?" He asked, peeking a look over to her as they walked.
"Kind of," she muttered.
He pulled her to him and sort of cuddled her into his arms. Emma's face flushed a bright red.
"So where are we off to, Jax?" She asked him, breathing in his scent.
Pine and cinnamon.
"Anywhere. I just want to be with you." He said quietly.
Emma's heart fluttered. She automatically felt guilty that she thought so low of him. But there still was a chance that he still cheated. Depending on what was going to happen that night, she decided to hold off the plan to keep an eye on him.
It was him anyway. He was the one who kept the eye on her.
