I throw the white powder into the bucket...

And nothing... nothing happens... I am standing in the same place, Boleslaw looking at me confused. I look down in the bucket, looking at the powder falling down to the bottom of the water.

I was afraid of this...

I press my AI and take out some more powder into my hand and my AI starts giving commands

"calculating... travel time from 1000 AD to...

calculating...

Connection established

Begin the processing now" message starts flashing in red in front of my eyes

I drop the powder again into the water and as it hits the surface I touch the water and fell the pull in. The AI continues to flash with information in front of my eyes

"travelling to 1445 AD Sweeden

would you like to change destination?"

"yes," I say unsure

"what year?"

"2021"

"not enough resources

choose year"

"How far can I travel?"

"travelling to 1445 AD Sweeden

would you like to change destination?"

"yes"

I seem to understand it a bit now, I can only travel up to the year 1445... Maybe it would be better to travel somewhere I do know of... somewhere where it should be safe... America! It hasn't been discovered until 1492!

"North America"

"calculating...

travelling to North America 1444 AD...

would you like to change destination?"

"no"

"arriving in... 5...4...3...2...1..."

I feel a pull and it's like I have just been spat out of some giant mouth. I land on my bottom and squirm in pain. My AI starts to blur out historical and general information about the place I have just landed at.

I gather my things and ask the AI

"where is the nearest water source?"

I can see a map appearing in front of my eyes, but as I turn around I see that I am in front of a large, beautiful lake. The water is so clear you can see everything at the bottom. Colourful fish swimming calling attention from afar. Large birds standing with their long legs in the water concentrating to catch their next meal...

I start walking towards it amazed, the sight is so beautiful it's breathtaking... I fix the bag on my shoulder ensuring that all its contents are safely in it.

I silently walk closer to the lake, not wanting to scare the animals... Suddenly all the birds rush out into the sky almost covering the light for a few seconds. Then, once they are gone complete silence surrounds me...

My hunting knowledge kicks in... I know I am in danger... surrounded... I look around and take out my sword quickly, preparing for my attacker. Turning around, not knowing from what side will it show itself.

Suddenly I see painted faces appearing from behind the trees and bushes... Indeed I am surrounded... Men and women, original Americans in their full beauty and glory... And I am here to see it.
