We get spat out in the same alley I once was with Sarah and her baby. Once we collect ourselves I change my appearance with the AI. It is early afternoon here and the summer sun is shining brightly making everyone instantly hot... Robert and the kids take off the skins they have been wearing, but still, don't look the part...
Just like that, we go out to the main street and walk to Sarah's home... It is a long walk and when we get there we are exhausted and the kids are thirsty and hungry... I knock at the door and wait...
After a moment I see Sarahs surprised face opening the door
"Bethany?!"
"Hello, Sarah... Apologies for the intrusion, but me and my family are in a little trouble..."
"Sarah, who is that?" I hear Thomas's voice as he approaches...
"Look it's Bethany!" Sarah opens the door wide revealing Thomas arriving at the door. His handsome face is smiling towards me and he says
"Don't just stand there, let them in Sarah!"
"Hello Thomas, nice to see you again..." I smile as he is starting to pull my arm un patiently, so I quickly add "I am here with my family..." and move to the side to Reveal Robert and the kids standing on the stairs beneath, behind me
"Oh, that's even better, come all in!" He says as he is leading the way into the house...
"This is my husband Robert and our kids Jack and Emily..." I say as the pass next to me, to introduce them to Thomas and Sarah
"We have been travelling and got into some trouble... and I thought of you..."
"Of course, of course... you must tell us everything... Come, have a seat... Would you like a drink? Lunch will be ready soon... Let me tell Frankie, that you will be staying for lunch..." Thomas says as he disappears to the kitchen
"My goodness, you look afoul... What happened?" Sarah asks as we all sit down in the living room
"Oh, it's such a long story..."
"It always is with you, Bethany..."She smiles
"Oh, and where is baby Arthur? "
"He is down for a nap at the moment, but you will not recognise him, he is growing so fast... "
"I can imagine, I remember how it was with raising those two..." I smile back
"All sorted, lunch will be served soon," Thomas says as he walks back into the room and continues
"So now, tell us how can we help?"
"We have been travelling and got robbed... "
"Oh, really?" I can hear in Thomases voice that he doesn't believe that for a second... I can not blame him, we fought against men together and he knows my skills, but it seems like he is happy to go along with it, so I continue
"The kids are exhausted and frankly need a good wash... I was wondering if we could stay with you for a couple of days until we get our affairs in order and be on our way?"
"Of course! What a wonderful news! "Sharah exclamates
"Thank you so much..."
We have lunch and wash and Robert gets some fresh clothes from Thomas and Sarah sends her maid to the market to get clothes for Jack and Emily.
By the late afternoon, the kids are happy as ever playing in the garden with baby Arthur while Robert explains something about gardening to Sarah and Thomas and I are sitting and sipping tea.
