Y/N's journey through the maze

Part 1

I wake up in a box. Where am I? I thought to myself. "HELP!" I screamed. Darkness was everywhere, I couldn't see a thing but then suddenly there was light. A lot of light. I had never been so thankful to see light, well I don't think I have. Why can't I remember anything?

As the box lid opens I am greeted by a young blonde boy. "It's a girl." The boy said.  All these boys were staring over me. "Where am I? Who are you?" I asked. They all looked at me  and said nothing but then a boy with brown hair said "Give her some room guys come on." He and the blonde boy helped me up from out of the box. The blonde boy walks me around the place. I look around me and I see walls, nothing but walls. "Don't worry love, I know they look intimidating at first." The blonde boy said to me, he must of saw me looking at the walls. "What is this place?" I asked. "Well let me show you around and tell you about it, I'm Newt by the way." He holds his hand out. I shake his hand and say "Hi I'm..." I look at him with a sense of confusion on my face. "Don't worry you will remember your name first, that's the only thing they let us keep." "Who lets us keep?" I say. "The people who put us
here."

Newt and I walked round the Glade for a while. He told me what this place is and how they call it the glade. Newt also tells me about the runners and how they run into the maze everyday to try and find a way out and how I am the only girl that has ever been in the Glade. "So how long have you been here for?" I ask Newt. "3 years I've been in this place." "Wow and your still here." He nods and takes me to a tent. "Your lucky your the only girl here, you get your own tent." He tells me. "Anyway, I'll let you get settled." He starts to walk away. "Newt!" I say. He turns around and looks at me. "My  names Y/N." "Well it's nice to meet you Y/N." He says with a grin and then walks away. I smile to myself and go back into my tent.
