Y/N's journey through the maze

Part 25

We all go and sit at a table with the same boys who we were with earlier. "Why are we in here in the middle of the day?" Minho asks one of the boys. "Everyday a select few get called and they go to this safe place, a farm. But they can only take a few a day." The boy says. I instantly know that something is up, I look over at Aris and he is shaking his head at me, I nod at him because I know he is signalling to me that I can't trust this 'farm'.  Janson walks in and stands in front of everyone, "Good afternoon all, if I read out your name please go over and line up near the exit. Susan, Alfie, Zayn, Naomi, Darren and Jeff." I look at the boys as Jeff stands up. He is hugging Fry and is so excited. As Jeff is saying bye to everyone I say "Jeff you can't go, something about this is not right. Please I can explain later just don't go with them." I pull on his arm as I am begging him to sit down. He refuses, "Y/N your just mad because your name didn't get picked. I'm going guys and hopefully I will see you soon." Jeff says and then he walks through. "Love, just let him go." Newt says to me as he holds  my hand. I quickly let go of my grip on his hand and run after Jeff. "Jeff! Jeff, wait, please." By this time he has already gone through the doors, I try to get through but the guards won't let me. "Please I just need to talk to him!" I say to the guards causing an argument because the guard pushes me down so the boys come running over. "Hey, don't touch her." Minho shouts. Aris and Newt help me off the floor but I just shake off their grip and walk out of the canteen.

I storm into my room in an absolute rage. Angrily I throw a chair at the wall and scream "FUCK!" The boys come running in asking a million questions. "What is all this about Y/N?" Gally says. "Why are you so mad that Jeff has gone  to the safe place?" Fry asks. "Because there is no fucking safe place, well I don't think there is. Something really dodgey is going on here I just know it." I say to them as I'm pacing around the room. "Like what Y/N?" Thomas asks me. "I don't know but I think  it has something to do with WCKD." There's silence and all I see staring back at me in the face is blank expressions from everyone apart from Newt. "Seriously Y/N, WCKD? I agree something weird might be going on but these people saved us from WCKD and from the maze." Thomas finally breaks the silence and says. "Did they save us from WCKD though? I can't be the only one who remembers what Ava said in the video about how there are going to be more trials. And I can't forget to tell you guys how this Janson guy knows me and knows that my mother was the head of WCKD, does this not alarm any of you guys?!" Yet again more silence until Minho looks over to Newt and says "Why haven't you said anything about this?" "Because I think she might be onto something here." He says. "Oh cut the crap just because you guys are now together doesn't mean you can't think for yourself Newt." Minho says angrily which completely shocks me. "Wow I thought out of everyone at least you would of believed me Minho but I guess I was wrong." I  say to him as I look him in the eyes and then look away and start walking over to the vents. "Y/N." Minho says to me with a tear in his eye. "I don't like all this arguing." Chuck says but no one says anything back to him but Newt walks over to him and puts his hand on Chuck's shoulder. I start to open the vents and Thomas asks "Where are you going now  Y/N?" "To talk to someone who actually believes me and see if there is anyway I can save Jeff before it's too late." I can't even look at them because of how betrayed I feel right now, I really thought that after everything we have all been through together that they would believe  me. As I'm going through the vents I hear Newt says "Well done guys, great going."

Aris meets me in the vents, "Hey Y/N are you okay you know after everything that happened earlier?" I just nod and say "So what was it that you wanted to show me?" He gestures to me to follow him so I do and then I see Janson and a doctor taking bodies into a room. "Oh... my... God. I knew something was going on and this just seems way to familiar not to be WCKD." I say and look up at Aris. "Y/N look your right, it is WCKD look at the letters on the wall." Aris whispers to me as he points to a WCKD sign on the wall like the ones that were on the stuff that we use to get sent up in the maze.  "OMG this literally is the worst possible thing that can happen. This was the only time I wanted to be wrong and wanted Minho to be right." I say. "We need to find out some more information about exactly what is going on here." Aris says to me. "Your right, it's only late afternoon so we have time right?" He nods. "Lets go back so I can check in on the others and we will meet back here in 20 minutes okay?" I say to Aris. "Sounds like a plan Cous!" We both go off as quickly and as quietly as we can.
