Y/N's journey through the maze

Part 27

Angrily and as fast as possible we all crawl through the vents back to the others. We push the vent door off and it flies across the room. Thomas and I get out and start tying things around the door. "We need to leave now. They are coming." Thomas shouts. "Thomas, Y/N calm down, what's going on?" Newt says. I can't answer him right now, my current mind set is getting everyone in this vent and out this room especially Chuck. Then I realised we need to find Teresa. "Shit Thomas what about Teresa." I say. "We will find her." He says. "Come on everyone out." I say as I'm getting everyone to go into the vent whilst Thomas is pushing as much stuff up against the door as possible. Newt and Minho are still shouting at us and asking what is going on. "ARIS what is happening?" Minho says getting angry. I decide to tell them, "It's Ava she's alive and Janson is on his way to get us right now so we have to go." "What? Ava as in your mother Ava is alive?" Newt says. I nod and then Frypan looks at me and says, "What about Jeff?" I look at him and shake my head, "He's gone Fry, I'm so sorry." Frypan just goes through the vent and so does the other. We are going through the vent, Minho and I are behind everyone as Thomas and Aris are leading the group. "Shortie are you okay?" Minho says. "I.. I don't know what to feel or think or do, all I know is that I need to get you all out of here and find my sister." I say all flustered. "None of this is your fault, why do you put so much pressure and responsibility on yourself?" Minho asks me. "My mother did this to all of you so that makes me partly responsible and I don't want you all to hate me and blame me so I need to save you all, it is my responsibility." I'm on the verge of tears but I know I need to hold my self together for the sake of my family. "You don't have to pretend to be fine with me Shortie, you know I'm always here for you no matter what and I could never hate you." Minho says in the most loving way I have ever heard him speak. "Thanks Min." "I hope you remember this moment because I'm never going to be like this again unless you are on your deathbed which better not happen any time soon because I don't know how much lovingness I have left in me at the minute and you can't die yet I still haven't beaten you in a race...yet." Minho says in his normal self. I instantly laugh, he always makes me laugh, I'm so glad I met him. "Are you guys seriously laughing and having a heart to heart whilst we are running away from being taken and turned into science experiments?" Newt says from further down the line of gladers crawling through a tiny vent which we are nearly out of. Minho and I just look up and burst into laughter.

We get out and Thomas is making sure we all got out. "Guys I need to go take care of something I will meet you." Aris says. "What? Aris where are you going" I ask him. "You guys want to get out of here right? So go, I will be fine and I will see in soon." Aris responds. We hug and he is about to go back through the vent. "I will go with him." Winston says. "Yes Winston go." Thomas says and we all run around the corner. Alarms are going off all through out the building making it hard to focus and think about the end goal here which is to get Teresa and get the hell out of this place, we go and hide in a little storage room to try and get together a plan. I was having some serious deja vu about how we were all running through these different hallways just to get away from WCKD once again, it felt like I was back in the maze. My thoughts were interrupted by the arguing of Thomas and Gally. "Do you even have any idea which room Teresa is in?" Gally shouts at Thomas, "No Gally I don't but she has got to be here somewhere." Thomas responds. I finally stop the argument by saying "Shut up both of you. Everyone in this building is after us and you two are shouting at the top of your lungs, it makes it kinda hard to stay hidden." They both bow their heads. "Guessing you've got a plan shortie?" Minho says. "Well it isn't really a plan, it's more of a go with the flow idea but I was thinking that she has to be in the restricted area where Aris and I saw the bodies being taken, she's got to be near there." I say trying to sound confident so no one looses hope. Newt is glued to my side and I can feel his warm breath on my neck. Whilst the others are getting ready to make a move from the storage room, Newt whispers "We will find her you know." I turn to look at him and say "I know we will, I just feel like they are all loosing hope because we only just escaped the maze and now we are going through this. I mean we are just kids, we shouldn't be going through this. Look at Chuck he is the youngest out of all of us and he is terrified." Newt kisses me as reassurance and says "Everything will work out in the end and soon we will all be able to live happy life's together as a family." I nod at him and turn to the others "Ready to go?" They all nod. And so we left and went to find Teresa.
