It's the middle of the night and I wake up. I don't know what to do so I go outside to see what the glade looks like at night, not thinking anyone else is awake. As I step out of my tent and walk over to the wall, I see Newt lying there. "Newt?" I ask "What are you doing up?" He looks at me and says "I could ask you the same question." I look him up and down and go and lie next to him. "I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep, plus I wanted to see what the glade looked like at night." "I couldn't sleep, that's why I am up and if you think this is cool, the glade at night, you should see it at sunrise. It's beautiful." I stare at him and he looks so calm. "Well I might just stay up to watch it. Do you want to watch it with me?" "Of course ." He says with a smile.
A few hours go by, Newt and I have been talking for ages about the glade and the runner. The sun starts to rise. "Wow you were right, it's stunning." He looks happy. "I'm glad I got to have this moment and see the sunrise for the first time, well the first time I can remember. And I'm glad I could share it with you." Newt stares at me and smiles. "It was one of the best nights I have had since I have been in the glade." I just smile at him. I lay down whilst resting my head on Newts shoulder. It's comforting and it makes me feel safe being with Newt and that's exactly what I need right now.
