It was a big day for both of us,
I hope you remember.
That time I stirred up such a fuss,
When every day I made small confessions,
Declarations of my mind and soul,
Because my thoughts humiliate me
And telling you was the most intimate thing I could do.
So you had to go and make my December.
It's a love story for the ages, they say
About you and I
Strangers will look and see what they may
For we can truly fly
Up and away from all expectation
Save for our own,
And into your arms without hesitation
Is where I'll find my home.
