Jungkook's eyes seemed to pop out of their sockets on hearing his name being called along with Ijeong. He stomped up on his feet as he asked the teacher, "Ma'am whom did you select as my partner?"
"Didn't you hear me? Shin Ijeong. She's going to pair up with you for this project," the teacher replied.
"No way! I can't be her partner! Please change our pair," Jungkook whined.
The teacher placed back her notebook on the desk, "No I'm already done selecting the pairs and I'm not going to accept any complaints on this. Sit down."
Jungkook pressed his lips together as he watched the green wigged Ijeong sitting two shifts away from him. She had a devilish smile laid on her lips when she looked at Jungkook and shrugged innocently, such that she wanted to state, it was supposed to happen anyways.
Jungkook heaved a heavy sigh on placing his butt back on the chair. He crossed his arms on his chest as he grumbled for his misfortune, "Damn why me? That idiot will surely turn me insane."

The lectures soon ended for the day. Jungkook filled back his belongings into his backpack rather vaguely. His mind was utterly confused since it was his turn to work with Ijeong. As he was putting the zip back, he perceived a clicking sound.
He rotated his head towards the exit to find it shut with a viridescent headed figure before it. The rest of the population had already left. The figure accelerated to him. Pulling out a chair and turning it to him, she perched on it.
Jungkook cocked his brow when she exposed her bare legs to the open atmosphere. He faked a cough, "What do you want now?"
She smirked while pushing her back on the chair intentionally to drag her skirt higher than the upper thighs. "I want to discuss the assignment," she stated casually.
"Stop being silly Ijeong. I ain't gonna interact a bit with you. I'm going to do the project myself. So you can enjoy the allotted time for your pieces of stuff without worrying about it. I'll complete it and submit without even letting the teacher know of your zero efforts," saying so Jungkook grabbed his bag to leave but Ijeong clutched his arm.
Jungkook paused without looking back at her. She said, "But I don't want any marks without putting in my efforts. That's against my pride. I want to work with you Jungkook."
Jungkook jerked away his hand from her grip. He turned his skull to her side, "In that case, you get no assuring reply from my side. If the pride matters that much then do the project yourself. We'll have a talk with the teacher on this later on but there's no way of me working with you under one roof." He tapered outside, giving not another chance to Ijeong to speak.

The room door flung open to Jungkook's room. His bag plopped onto the bed and he damped in. His eyes trailed the floor as he sighed deeply. His phone whistled from inside his pocket. Pulling it out he read, "Hey let's meet at Hoho Moyll Cafe. ~Jimin"

"Jungkook why are you not having your coffee?"
Jungkook continued swirling the spoon in the coffee cup, vapours twirling up from its hot surface. A wrinkle merged with his forehead skin flaps showing his rate of being fed up.
A big hand shook him to his senses, "What's wrong? Is it because of Ijeong?"
Jungkook released a vexed sigh.
"Oh come on man cheer up. She's just too eager to do the allotted task with you. That too only for a week. You can easily get over it the next week. What's the big deal in it?" Taehyung suggested. He expected Jungkook to take it the way he had told him yet it was not so easy to charge over his thoughts.
"I'm not saying that she's not eager but when her eagerness turns out to be possessiveness, she becomes too clingy and cliché to handle. Anyways you won't understand so leave it aside," Jungkook took the cup to his lips.
Jimin shrugged, "I know Mrs Oh is a bit soft with Ijeong because she's the daughter of a member of the college faculty. However, she doesn't have the right to force you into this. She should understand who's fit for whom. Elders are not so matured as they're supposed to be I guess."
Taehyung licked his lips, "I don't think Ijeong is going to let you get out of it so easily."
Jungkook nodded to his words as he found the cream heart floating on his latte getting scattered like icebergs.

The morning sun rose shining its bright rays over Seoul. The rooftops lit up with luminescence. Youngsters headed to their academic buildings so as the same with Jungkook. He walked out of his residence and looked up at the blue sky. It was fine weather. He wished to let the day be fine for him as well. He decided to settle his conflicts upon the project work with Ijeong for no further hatred. Yes, it was quite true that she only wanted to spend some time with her crush, nothing more than that hopefully. And Jungkook could do this much though it was totally unwanted.
As he was hovering over those thoughts, a black Mercedes flowed past him. His eyesight caught a close human through the corner of his sockets sitting by the window glass. "Areum!" he mumbled in surprise while turning to the direction in which the car drove. He watched the car severely shortening in its size as it turned out to be only a fine point at the farthest distance.

Entering the class, Jungkook found a number of students surrounding a desk. A snivelling nose reached his ears as he cocked his brow and advanced towards it. On his arrival, he tried to peer over their shoulders but the crowd dispersed making space for him to enter.
Some of them eyed him with weird expressions which Jungkook didn't give a glance at. He discovered a crying Ijeong with loads of tissues lying on the desk's top. Not being able to make out the reason behind her sudden weep, he asked, "What happened to you? What made you cry so early in the morning? Who dumped you now?"
Ijeong dominated over her tears and stared up at his face with puffy eyes, "Don't act as if you don't know anything. As if you're in no way responsible for it," she grizzled. "Didn't you deny doing the project with me?"
At this Jungkook figured out what she wanted to express by her severe dehydration through the eyes. He looked around to find sharp gazes trying to bore holes into him. He let out a sigh as he ruffled his hair in embarrassment. "Well, I was about to tell you today that I'm ready to complete this assignment with you Ijeong." Like what else could he say at that very moment?
"Really?!" Ijeong screamed out. The wilful pain in her orbs got converted into excitement. She rubbed off her tears and ran to him. She pulled him into a hug and this time Jungkook let her do it without any hesitation or barrier from his side. He kept his hands on his side, not bothered to hug Ijeong back as she made herself comfortable on his chest.
