A man in a grey suit positioned himself behind a pair of microphones. His hands rummaged through a lump of printed papers. Twitching his glasses, he lifted his chin to speak, "Today we all have gathered here to declare who are the top 10 winners of the annual portrait competition," he continued, "But before I declare those names, I want to make all aware that these paintings will be put up in an exhibition tomorrow which is going to be held in our academy."
The crowd whispered in some low tones and soon the host was given back his attentions. He said, "So the ones who have carved their names in the list of the top 10 are- Lee Yusin with a rank of tenth!"
A round of applause broke through the patient hall. Moments later,
"Park Jimin - seventh position!" announced the speaker. The silver-haired boy popped up from his seat and hugged his friends. He trotted to the podium and received his certificate. Jungkook and Taehyung clapped their palms together on watching their lovely mate receiving an honour of achievement.Taehyung bit his nails as the turn approached for the top 5 rankings. "The fifth ranking goes to Mr Kim Taehyung!"
Taehyung embraced Jungkook pretty tightly before jumping off his seat. Everybody witnessed his boxy leer that shone in contrast to the bright screen behind.
"Now the time has come to see who has reserved the first position. Hold onto your hearts for the best of all," he breathed. The hall came to utter silence, only the vibrations of heavy huffs were audible. The silence was too dense.
"It is Mr Jeon Jeongguk!! Congratulations to all the toppers!"
Jungkook covered up his mouth as he enclasped in his mother's warm hug. Strolling to the upland, he ducked for a bow and the teachers passed over his prizes, a medal and a certificate of merit. His eyes danced with the uncontrollable excitement and joy that overwhelmed his expressions.Yes, he was the winner. A winner who sketched his imagination in his empty canvas. He filled the canvas with the lady whom he was partially devoted to. Yet his admiration was pure, free from any sort of greed other than just love and trust. He wasn't even sure if his dream girl ever existed nevertheless he likes to be in his own world, be it fantasy or the real earth.

"Where did you reach?" whined Jimin from the other end.
Jungkook giggled, "I'm here already where are you guys?"
"At the exhibition hall itself."
Jungkook gazed around to figure out two known faces marching towards him. On coming near him they slapped some high fives.
"Dude we have been searching for you for the past 10 minutes. Where have you been? If you were here, you could have told us right?" Taehyung hissed sarcastically.
Jungkook parted his lips, "Ah well I came just now." He rubbed the back of his neck. Taehyung's facial expression dissolved in a second. He cursed his foolish brain as he gulped lightly and looked away.
Jimin chuckled quietly, rubbing his nose while watching Taehyung's sudden indifference in them. He cleared his throat to get his attention, "Fine so now let's check out the paintings of the junior sections. Come on Jungkookie."
"Umm, I want to have a look at our batch first. You guys can go. I'll catch up with you in a few minutes," Jungkook squeezed their shoulders before disappearing in the inner wide.
The hall was total bliss to artists or rather for the ones who were lovers of art. So many beautiful, extraordinary, unique artworks were displayed on the spotlight walls. An extravagant aura was scented with the freshly dried paints that looked authentically colourful wherever the eyes glistened.
Few statues stood in between some frames, working as their artificial watchmen. Jungkook scampered over the carpeted floor, his orbs checking out every art that paved his way. He thoroughly scanned them and all of a sudden, a painting unexpectedly pulled his observance.
He walked closer to that. "Wow what an amazing creation. Shin Junho, batch 2018. Alright, so he's the mastermind behind this. Amazing," he busied up himself in watching its detailings.
A different view...
"Yeah, eomma I'm here. Talk to you later." The call was hung up. A pretty hand filled the phone in a white baguette bag before the lady advanced to the winner's corner. Her heels created a slight tapping sound on the soft red carpet as she slid her hair strands at the back of the skull. She fixed her purse chain on the shoulder when her sockets were watching at the farthest wall.
She was busy observing the other depictions however her eyes could not bear ignoring the best portrait out there. The portrait was pinned to a specially designed graphical wall laid with maroon velvety curtains and halogen lights.
She paused in front of that colour script and her hands took off her shades. With widened eyes, she gaped at the handwork as her jaw hung low. She blinked for the umpteenth time unable to believe what she saw.
A painting that could mesmerize her eyes was not to be found too frequently at any place. This definitely had some charms out of the box which held it off guard. It had its own unique style of strokes and colour gradient that was far better than a printed picture.
Jungkook finally turned around to spot his own work at a little distance. He dragged his feet, commencing slowly to the graphic toned wall. He had an unknown gleer laid over his cheeks, making it look a bit more destined.
Soon his eyes grabbed the side profile of a young woman standing in front of his completed canvas. He halted at his spot as his brows cocked up and eyes enlarged for what he witnessed that moment.

Here's the next part. Who's she?? Any guesses? And why did Jungkook react that way? Is there some mystery? Stay tuned for the next part soon. Ily
