Jungkook's sneakers squished their soles upon the hard marbled floor along with the female lead abreast. They gave each other a pretty tough fight all over from the starting period. But soon the masculine frame seemed to leave the other behind by a few steps with every period of ten seconds.
Watching the other's winning victory ranging higher at a sloth's pace, Areum drooped to the ground and held her ankle before hissing in instant pain.
"Ugh, it hurts! Aah, I twisted my precious ankle! Jungkook! Help me!"
Jungkook forced his shoes for friction to turn back. His eyes trailed to the one sitting on the floor with a crinkled face. she veiled her sockets yet her squeals could be heard with clarity.
Jungkook hurried to her side and took her ankle in his care which she claimed to be sore. He messaged the area with utmost cautiousness as his fingers dipped into her skin, deforming its surface slightly.
"Are you okay now? Does it feel better?" he asked while slowly turning her feet on either side.
Areum slid her face sideways and smacked, "My poor Kookie, better luck next time dear."
"Huh?" Jungkook straightened his face to find her already slipping out his arena towards the direction of her room. He finally realised her trick and immediately stood to his feet.
They both barged into the empty room whose peacefulness was utterly disturbed by the loud howls.
"Yes, I won! I'll pick it first!" Areum threw her arms high up to recruit her to win.
Jungkook rolled his orbs while pushing his tongue to sink his cheek muscles.
"So which one should we start with Jungkook?"
Jungkook cracked his knuckles, "Anything you're comfortable with. I won't mind. Besides we had a deal remember?"
"Yeah, I know. But I just wanted to give you a little freedom regarding the type because if you lose it this time, I wonder how you would feel," she mimicked and winked at his visage.
Jungkook smirked, "You shouldn't be overconfident at any rate. Bring it on."
The games war took a ready start with a car racing track. The opponents fastened to their seats by holding a controller each.
"Wooah I love the graphics! Damn, it looks so real!" Jungkook raised in an amusing tone.
Areum slanted her structure to a side, her fingers vigorously twitched the buttons of the controller pad "It's PS5 and the contrasts of its graphics were what drew my attention."
The minute arrived for the ultimate scores. Maybe it was a destined win as Jungkook took over the entire race. Though Areum still gave her little best to tackle his vehicle yet he was sponsored to be the king of the day.
The race came to a halt with Jungkook's triumphant smile. On the other hand, Areum shrugged in disgust. She tossed the controller on her bed and she herself laid back over the sheets. Her feet dangled at its edge as she bubbled her lips in disappointment.
Jungkook scampered to the billet. He dropped his butt on the soft mattress, his lineaments still faced the wall far away which was loaded with floral prints.

Areum passed over a cup of coffee to her partner. Jungkook grabbed his utensil from her grip. He sipped his latte and found his melodious radio station on hold.
Areum did not speak since the time her loss gained charge over her confidence. She simply smooched the rim of her container while observing the view below from the terrace.
The sky was clothed in a multicoloured shade of blue, orange and yellow. The sun was gradually reaching the horizon. Birds glided through the air to their addresses whereas a couple of human beings kept on pretending to enjoy the unnatural serenity which enclosed them.
Jungkook finished his hot drink in advance to sauntering near the parapet of the terrace platform. His visions promoted itself to the beauty of the city around. He heaved a sigh and soon spotted a hand beside his on the top of the barrier. He transferred his stare from the fingers to the face of the lady who had a spooky smile on.
"You must be thinking what a fool I am," she declared.
Jungkook only gaped at her weird attitude. She did look a bit different after the crazy games riot.
"You dumped me today, perhaps because I was the one who let you."
Jungkook shrunk his eyelids. "You lost fair and square today. Don't you thank so?"
"I don't care if I lose or win. But this arouses in me a different new concern, the concern of you to dump me outside the world of the game."
"Have you lost it? Do you even have any idea about what you just said? You're comparing the fate of these stupid games with our relationship? You think it's that flaky?"
"No Jungkook, you're taking it in a wrong way. I'm not saying you would do that on purpose but we never know what's awaiting next, isn't it?" Areum curled up her lips. "I don't give a damn to these games but that doesn't stop me from brooding over what I don't want to. Every time I think of living without you, I find myself in a puzzle of darkness, confusion and anxiety. I never had this kind of feelings before however now as the days are passing, I can sense it all the more." Her eyes became flooded with lacrymal secretions.
Jungkook squeezed her shoulders to make her face him. Her face appeared as a dried nose petal in the reflection of his iris. Tears started to collide with his conjunctiva.
"Why do you even think of losing me? I always told you before that I love you with all my heart. You're someone whom to overlook is an impossible task for me. Yet you-" he paused on sensing his for overwhelming despondency.
Areum lightly bit her lower lip stint observing Jungkook breathing onto his arm. Out of the blue, he lifted her up with both his arms locked at the back of her be upper thighs. Areum's startled condition forced Jungkook to gaze up. They had a peaceful eye contact and soon after, Areum crushed her lips upon his. Tears rolled out of the corners of their eyes which ultimately all landed on Jungkook's chest. Adrenalin rushed through their cells mixed with a pleasing pain and affection. They tasted each other's edges that have had the flavour of coffee still intact.
The air grew a little loud which fluttered their hair strands. Areum's hair got drenched in the flowing tears of the handsome lad.
The sun slowly went down the horizon leaving only a florescent orange edge at the distant hemisphere. Windows of the houses sparkled bright with the late afternoon being overtaken by starry twilight.
