Jungkook jogged all his way to the arena where he always sought peace of mind. And at this condition, not even severe meditation could help him calm. He scooped out his feet from the shoes and sauntered through the holy architecture to its rare side.
Reaching the back gallery of the temple, he halted before a wooden railing. Soft air sang the songs of nature nearby his ears. He closed his eyelids to let him completely soak the tranquillity. His palms tightened their grips at the palisade top.
He couldn't think of anything rather than to just discharge all the stressful thoughts at the platform of god.
I'm so sorry Areum-ssi. I don't know why this sudden breakage glided into our way. Will this scar ever get healed? Well, I don't know. Appa doesn't seem to be convinced at all. What must I do? He heaved a sigh as he felt himself soothe and feel a little better to walk.
A few minutes later, he carried back his body in search of the road for going home. After he left the area, another soul trailed into the hallway. She placed her hands at the same handprints of the previous quintessence on the fencing top. She breathed in the cool scent of blue flag iris growing on the edges of the wide lake in front. Her eyes came across as tired since she suffered from insomnia that was gradually thickening in its effects.
Her eyes drooled tears as seconds passed by. She did not know what exactly operated her body, the heart or the brain. All she could do is release her caged pain at the feet of nature so that some peace could have mercy upon her broken stature. Her entire body recklessly shivered as she crouched to the ground. She rested her head against the railing while weeping her heart out.

The essence of night darkened the city. A wholly round moon sparkled in the sky with its little neighbours twinkling nearby. The velocity of the flowing wind was much lesser than the normal days, almost constant.
Jungkook perched on the edge of the terrace. His iris recreated the shape of the natural satellite on its surface. His arms balanced his shoulders as he observed the glittering clouds.
"Areum-ssi, I miss you so much..." His sockets got watery.
On the other hand, Areum crouched on her bed, swiping through the gallery of images in her cellphone, for watching the pictures that she clicked with Jungkook. Her nose reddened owing to continuous snivels.
A moment later, she placed the device at the base of the bedside lamp and slid inside her comfy blanket. Out of the blue, something haunted her mind when she glanced at the lump of birthday presents beside her dresser. The hidden canvas excited her even more. She jumped off the bed, moving with quick short steps towards them.
Her hands reached out for the large board. She pulled it up and settled it on an easel stand. Slowly she removed its sheath to discover a portrait of her in which she was the centre of attraction among lots and lots of roses. At a corner of it, there was written 'My rose of joy~Jungkook'.
Areum gasped as she bit her lips. Covering her mouth with the help of her palm, she rushed back to her bed. She tried to lock her tears and cries within a pillow that she clenched tightly.

Jungkook acquired his seat at the dining table. Mrs Jeon was busy arranging their morning meals on it whereas Mr Jeon was going through the daily news on his tablet. It was hard to guess by their simplicity that they were affected even a tiny bit by their son's major unofficial breakup. Everything was so rightful to them.
Jungkook quietly crunched a pickled radish while staring blankly at his plate. His growing eyebags were getting prominent day by day.
"Jungkook, are you getting a good sleep?" asked Mrs Jeon, placing a bottle of banana milk in front of him.
"Hmm, don't worry. I'm okay," he replied indifferently.
Mrs Jeon plopped down thoughtfully. Something was again cooking in her brain as usual. She was a rapid thinker actually.
Finishing the piece in his mouth, Jungkook replaced visions at the white liquid bottle.
An instant wave of revival gushed through him. His eyes projected the day when he visited the Park Villa for the first time and he asked for a banana milk. Though he was not really sure about it yet Areum showered her kindness by acknowledging his taste. That was really matured for her.
He sighed and continued having his breakfast.
"I'm going now. Bye," he said prior to grabbing his backpack. The bag dangled on his left shoulder when walked to unclasp the main door.
Mrs Jeon glanced at the milk container and raised, "Jungkook, you missed your drink!"
Jungkook slammed the door behind leaving the inner old couple puzzled. "What is happening with this boy?" Mrs Jeon pondered.

Jungkook was sitting at a bench on his college campus. Ear pods pleasured his eardrums with quality music. He needed this, perhaps that was the right moment for it just to enhance his collapsed mood.
A minute subsided, soon followed by a hand that landed on his shoulder. Jungkook opened his eyes to watch Ijeong accompanying him besides. He plucked the mini speakers out.
"What are you doing here?"
Ijeong retrieved her touch from his figure and said, "I heard that there is a lot of chaos going on between you and Areum. I feel so sorry for you both." Her emotions were real.
Jungkook sneered, "Sorry? Why all of a sudden? You should be celebrating our mutiny, right?"
"I'm a human, Jeongguk. Though I had been really cocky with you before but I was taken aback when I came to know how dearly you loved each other. You're living soulmates. And I was only a barrier. I hope everything gets better soon."
Jungkook huffed, "Thank you. I'm sorry for being rude to you always. And all the best with Dongman. He's a child at heart, don't hurt him." He gave a light beam before walking away.
Ijeong smiled back as she watched him entering a hallway.
