"That's enough!" Mr Park Chang-hoon broke into the room, his awful angle of anxiety was greatly devastated by the sudden appearance of his age-old friend or foe rather.

Areum clenched her fists into two tight walls, crushing the bedsheet fiercely. "Why should I always be made to stop when whatever I say isn't a single lie? What wrong did I speak? My statements are all justified and you know it better."

"I don't want to hear any of your stupid logic now. It's late, go to sleep," He turned his back upon her face to leave.

"Appa," Areum's voice was quivering, "I'm not a little toddler anymore. I've grown up to be an independent citizen of our country. You can't force me into anything. And I have the right to know what was the name of the disease for which eomma left me. You can't let it turn smoke this time."

Nobody could deny that now she was the bolder version of herself who was prisoned all inside in the puddle of an unknown sea, crazy in madness represented by thunder and strong currents.

"I'm not able to understand why you lift up that part every time. in spite of telling you that it was a natural death. Fine if you're willing to know it all, I'll tell you. It was a major brain haemorrhage due to excessive pressure during her delivery. I hope you're happy now? Now go-"

"But appa, last time you said that it was a cardiac arrest. This time it's a brain haemorrhage. What's up next?"

Mr Park gritted his gums together before yelling, "Why are you getting so nosy these days? It was all of them okay? Your mom is dead. Now shut up and be quiet. And about that boy, his name shouldn't be pronounced by those lips of yours again, if you don't want to see the worst in me." He thundered out of the cubicle, who was soon followed by Mrs Park. She shut the door with a thud as tears flowed down Areum's swollen orbits.

Her edges wobbled to control her agony. Her body trembled out of the shocks of her cry waves. She clutched a pillow and threw it on the floor.

Eomma, where are you? Why did you leave me so soon? I hate everything, everyone except for my Jungkook but now even he is stretching apart. Today Mrs Park proved that she is my STEP mother. Yes, she proved that nobody can ever love a child more than the mother itself, Areum pondered under her breath while looking at her mother's frame in hand. Her tears travelled down to drop on the glass plate.

"Jungkook, what happened to you? Are you okay!" Taehyung asked while observing the bunny faced.

Jungkook blinked without answering. His mood was wreaked every now and then since he visited Areum's birthday party.

"Looks like Ijeong has started troubling you once again," Taehyung tormented, keeping his eyes at the green-haired girl on the campus.

Jungkook griped, "I'm not in the mood for a joke. I'll get going now. See you guys." He pulled himself up to walk through the flagstones path leading towards the exit gate. Laziness mixed with sadness and tedium crinkled his figure. He slid out of the metal barrier and to his conscience, he found a girl leaning onto a wall just next to the open turnstile.

The girl on noticing him straightened up with a melancholic expression degrading her facial structure. She effectuated a step ahead at which Jungkook came back to his senses. He gulped lightly and marched away in the other direction. She decided to follow him but a ringtone sought all her attention floating from her skirt's pocket. She took the call.

"Ye eomma. I'm almost there." She dismissed the call before the one on the other side could react.

The weekend jumped in bringing back the times that Jungkook spent in his art academy. Sitting at his respective seat of the hall, he picked out the case of his article. The rest of the population still waited for the teacher to turn up.

A moment passed. Two sneakers trotted inside the room, closing the door with a light blank sound.

"Good morning everyone. It's great to see you again."

Jungkook shot his globes straight at the main desk in stupefaction. There was the one who was always a reason for his heart to skip a beat.

"You remember me right? I'm Park Areum," she elicited, giving a faint smile.

The class went on, as usual, the only difference was that there was this young lady instead of the previous old angry man. Jungkook bloated his strokes on the canvas, gradually the blue sky appeared to shine. Areum parked on his back to watch him in peace.

"Good going. Keep it up," she remarked a few minutes later of admiring his efforts and advanced to her spot.

Jungkook gazed at her in a startled words ride.

"That's all for today. Thank you, everyone," Areum finished.

The echoes inside the four walls of the chamber evanesced with time, the shifting of chairs ceased. As usual, Jungkook was the last one to depart. But before he could clasp the doorknob, Areum propped him.

"Jungkook, do you really hate me to that extent? You've been ignoring me so seriously all these while," Areum disputed in a doleful tone.

Jungkook sighed deeply, "You want to hear me? Yes, I won't say that I exactly hate you but I've lost all my interest in you. I have thought about it a lot and now I don't see anything special in you, you're just as simple as a normal girl." Each word shot through his heart as the hardest stabs. He never meant to say those but what could he do anyway? He had to keep her away, whatever it might take.

He wanted her to hate him more and more so that she is safe. After getting to know about her mom's death, Jungkook wished to break himself into the tiniest of pieces just to let her live in good conditions at a house where a living murderer resided. He feared that his relationship with her might as well ruin her life and he was ready to see her animate even if he had to vacate his place on earth.

"Jungkook, you mean it?" Areum's sockets filled up with fresh tears.

Jungkook breathed, "Yeah, I mean every bit of it. Happy now?" He spurted out of the room, the door swung back gradually and closed with a click.

Jimin and Taehyung watched Jungkook rushing out of the hallway. Slight noises of weeping emerged from their classroom.

"I have no idea how this type of manifestation hopped into their lives. It sucks," Jimin puffed.
