The Realisation

Chapter 4

Emma's POV

It had been a few months now, and i still didn't know why Zero and Kaname were going out every third night or so it was just such strange behavior; especially for a pair of High School students.

Tonight I'm finding out what their up to and where they go. I made sure that my phone was in my pocket before I left. I looked out the window and my adventure was immediately ruined. Running back from the forest, was Zero and Kaname. 

Kaname looked so much like Zero, it's like their twins. The only difference between them is the fact that Kaname has slightly longer brown hair and brown eyes; while Zero has shorter white hair and violet eyes. 

I continued to watch them until Zero looked up at my window. I tried to pretend like I wasn't watching them but they wouldn't fall for that. I watched on as Zero waved to Kaname and disappeared from sight, just a few moments later, there was a knock on my door. 

I walked to the door and pulled it open, I was startled and surprised to see Zero standing there. "Uh, hey Zero, can I help you with something?" I asked.

"Emma, don't watch us you won't like what you see," Zero said bluntly.

"W-What? Why?" I inquired, he just sighed.

"I can't tell you that. Just don't pry any further into this. It's not safe for you," he talked in code. As soon as he arrived, he left. 

I was so confused by what he meant, but I decided to let it go. There was nothing I could do to make him tell me and there I don't want to make him feel pressured into telling me anything. Instead, I pulled out my phone and called Sarah who was out tonight.

Hello?" she said into the phone.

"Hey Sarah, can I tell you something?" I questioned.

"Sure!" her bubbly voice echoed through the phone.

"Sarah, i think i like Zero" i said surprised.

"OMG that's so cool and to be honest, I think i like Kaname" she said. We talked for a bit more before we finally hung up. I went back to looked out the window and suddenly something white caught my eye. I strained my eyes as I saw Zero and Kaname come into view.

I was watching Zero and Kaname come back from their 'adventure'. I saw why i liked Zero he had muscles that could break concrete and don't even get me started on his white hair.

While lying in bed, my mind kept going back to what Zero said earlier on, "don't watch you won't like what you see", i decided to ask Zero what that meant; but for now all I need is sleep. 

--Time Skip: Next day--

I had finally caught up with Zero and now we stood in the forest where he and Kaname ran to every third night. He stood, leaned up against a tree with his arms folded over his chest. 

"Zero what the other day what did you mean? I asked he just looked at me with those piercing violet eyes.

"I can't tell you why" he said without expression. He was turned to leave so i grabbed his wrist.

"Bulldust Zero, i know you can tell me but you chose not to!" I yelled at him 

He turned around, glaring at me with those same eyes that had looked at me so affectionately. "Emma i honestly can't tell you, if i did it would spell the end for me!" He yelled nearly making me deaf.

"Zero what is so bad that you can't tell me!" I continued; but my anger turned to worry when when i heard him scream. I let go of his wrist and placed my hands on his shoulders, trying to make him look at me.  "Zero? Are you okay?" i asked more concerned this time.

He kept his face to the ground and held his neck in pain. "Emma i told you to leave it alone and you didn't so what ever happens to you, is your fault," he said.

I looked at him confused. But then he looked up at me and what i saw was not the Zero i had come to love and know. This was a Zero that i never knew existed. 

When he looked up all i could see was that his violet eyes were now a blood coloured red and his third top teeth had grown and became sharper. I stared in fear as I realized the boy in front of me wasn't what I thought he was. He was a being from fiction, one that feeds on blood; A vampire.

Hey guys, just wanted to say that I'm so glad u guys r reading my book and I'm hoping ur enjoying it and don't be afraid to leave comments and suggest things to me. i know i say this every time but i have a lot of school work so i can't update as fast as i have been recently so hope u guys stick around for the updates. that other book i wrote isn't up yet so i will put that one up ASAP anyway bye guys thx again. :)
