Prologue
Zero's POV
I was sitting on my beanbag in my bedroom playing my Xbox360, i was so close to finishing the final level of my game. When suddenly this excruciating pain came shooting through my body. I dropped the controller and nearly doubled over in pain, i held back the urge to scream after about 15 minutes of agony the pain eased.
I was so confused and trying to figure out what happened just made my head hurt, suddenly my vision went blurry and i couldn't see a thing . Then I had a strong feeling need and hunger.
I got up from my black beanbag and walked over to the ground mirror against the wall, and what i saw shocked me to the bone. My normal violet eyes had changed to a bright red.
I ran out of the house and into the street, i saw a young boy walking on the path, alone. Without thinking i went for him. I pinned him against a house, and then moved my mouth to his neck, then i bit down on him. He tried to scream but couldn't.
I dropped the limp body and my vision cleared up, i looked at the little boy, he was... dead.
I ran home as fast as i could, my mum was home, "Mum!" I yelled. "Yes Zero," she yelled in response.
I walked up to her, "mum, i-", I didn't get to finish because she cut me off "Zero i know what your going to say and its OK, its natural for you to feed on blood now your 16 which means this was bound to happen, don't worry I'm the same", she continued, "your a vampire Zero", she said with a proud tone.
