The Funeral

Chapter 3

Kaname's POV

I can't believe it she died, i always knew she had an illness but i didn't know it was that serious. Zero treasured his mother more than anything, especially after his father died last year.

"Zero, I'm so sorry i wish i knew how you feel" i said sitting down next to him. He didn't say a word but then got up, took something from his bedside table and sat back down.

At lunch i was sitting with Sarah then Emma came over and sat down, "hey where's Zero?" she asked i didn't know what to tell her. It's more Zeros thing, if he wants them to know he will tell them. "He's in his room, he doesn't want to speak with anyone right now" i stated.

it was Zero's mums funeral today Emma, Sarah and I were going to go with Zero as support for him.

I had on my black shirt, black pants and a black raincoat. The headmaster drove is all there to the grave yard.

We were finally at Zero's mums grave stone, he bent down and started talking. "Hey mum, i wish you were her right now. If i stayed for another year would this have happened? You meant so much to me especially after dad died-" he couldn't continue any further otherwise be may have broken out in a waterfall of tears.

The moon shone high in the sky, the stars twinkling against the black background. Zero and me were out hunting we needed blood but at midnight no one walked the streets alone.

Zero spotted a deer eating some long grass, he tapped me one the shoulder and pointed to it.

I started the chase deers were fast but couldn't keep up the run forever bit for me amd Zero it was no trouble.

Zero was on the other side of the deer, it was slowing now was my chance i leapt onto the deer and the added weight of me bought it down.

Zero and me started to feast on its blood, as we feasted it made horrific noises.

We didn't enjoy being blood sucking monsters but sometimes the iner self gets all the control and your just a distant voice in the background.
