Sebastian ran his fingers through Clary's soft red hair. She tilted her head up and smiled at him. She felt lightheaded and sweet. A voice inside her told her this was wrong, yet, everything else said this was right.
"She did this on her own." Sebastian bellowed.
Jace sank to the cold filthy stone floor. Silence. There was a huge blood tingling silence all around them. An evil, sickening silence and its presence was strong.

Sebastian let go of Clary. Her legs began to give way, her eyes became watery once more. She fell forward and knelt next to Jace. They were so close, but so far. Almost touching if not for the barrier. Somehow, she managed to reach through the forcefield, and she could reach in towards them.
"I'm sorry," she said. Her words meant nothing, they were almost robotic; unfeeling.
"I did this for us," she went on. "You, me. Jace. Everyone. But, It turns out I love Sebastian."
Jace couldn't even look at her.
"It's just how it is." Clary added with a smile.

This couldn't be real, surely not.
Jace slowly raised his gaze and stared straight into Clary's eyes.

"Clarissa Fray." He began, his words were mangled and croaky. "This is not you. This is not the Clary I fell in love with. This is a monster Sebastian has created in you. Please come back to me." He choked on his final words.

Jace spat as he said Sebastian's name. Clary was taken aback slightly, she felt as if she should have felt something in her core. It was brushed off lightly. Her mind was filled with endless thoughts of Sebastian. It was too much. She was already gone. All other thoughts and feelings were replaced and blocked. There was only one thing she cared for; her brother.

Surprisingly, her eyes softened. She reached her hand through the forcefield and took hold of Jace's cheek with her fingertips. She brushed them gently along his cheekbone and skin. All her fears, worries and feelings came rushing to her.
"Jace," she whispered.
He placed his hand on top of her own.

Clary jerked, her expression changed rapidly. Instantly she dug her nails into the soft skin of his cheek. She let out a menacing cackle. She seemed insane. Jace fell back in shock and gasped. He raised his hands to his face where Clary's nails had dug into the flesh, there, instead, were four crimson red scratches which began to bleed. Dark red blood began to ooze out and slowly leak down his cheek and drizzled onto the floor.

Clary stood up, still cackling like a maniac and stood elegantly beside Sebastian. Her nails were red with Jace's blood and her eyes were filled with a hot fiery rage which burst through her. Her smile was pure wicked, unnatural, and not at all like her. From that point, they all knew hope was lost. Clary narrowed her eyebrows and glared at Jace.
"I am not a monster." She snarled, her lips draught back.

She turned on her heel and marched away, not looking back. Sebastian followed her obediently at her tail. They wandered away into the corridors. After she was quite far away she turned around seeing nothing but pure darkness. She whipped round and continued walking away ignoring the constant echoes which screamed her name.
Clary.
