Clary clutched her stomach and screamed like a banshee. She cried out his name as she hauled Jace onto her lap. She screamed once more using all her energy and voice. Clary ran her fingers through his soft blood stained hair and then pressed her face onto his hair, holding him tightly in her shaky arms.
"Jace," she said choking on her tears. " Jace, don't leave me,"
Clary began to shake him in desperation that he would wake up or still be breathing. She began to feel for a pulse, anything, a sign of life. She checked his wrists and neck; she couldn't feel anything, there was no pulse. She sobbed again and threw herself on top of him, never letting go.
"How cute," Sebastian spat.
He cleaned his dagger against his shirt, wiping Jace's blood onto it. He grinned and placed his hand on Clary's shoulder. She instantly flinched and pushed him away. Her lips were held back in a snarl.
"Feisty aren't you? Lil' sis."
"Don't call me your sister." Clary said fiercely, holding back her tears.
"Oh sorry," Sebastian went on. "Is my Queen any better?"
Clary glared at him. She would never forgive him. He was truly psychotic and worse; he was in love with her.

Sebastian laughed despicably and knelt down. He reached for her chin forcing her to look into his bruised eyes. Sebastian's eyes were captivating and intriguing. Nearly all black with nearly no whites, they were so frightening yet, strangely beautiful. His nails dug into the skin around her chin.
"I did this for us Clarissa. I love you and I do not want anyone else to touch you, love you or hurt you but me. You are mine. And, I want you to look at me the way you look at 'him'. You are mine, and no one else's." Sebastian said, his voice became hollow as he spoke the word 'him'.
Clary tried to look away, but her eyes were locked on his. She opened her mouth to speak but was silenced by Sebastian.
"Or, " he continued, "would you rather, everyone died, for you?"
Her lips were dry and she shut them tight. She finally looked away from him and he forcefully released her. Leaving small marks on her chin and neck where his sharp nails had dug into her soft skin.
"Thought so." He spat lifting himself from the floor.

Clary held in her sobs and screams and shut her eyes. She tried to imagine a happy scenario, where everything was okay. A place where she was free from Sebastian and Edom and everything else she was afraid of. Despite her attempts- nothing changed. She was still in a dark foul room with her psychotic brother and Jace lying at her feet. Sebastian walked towards the window of the room and stepped across the shattered glass. He brought out his stele and began to draw iratatz on his wounds and removed the glass which had cut into his skin. Once more, Clary checked Jace's pulse. She shakily placed her hand on his neck and began to feel for his pulse. Her heart stopped as she felt a beat from his neck and her body relaxed. She caressed him in her arms and let her tears stream down.
"Thank the angel," she whispered to herself.

With a crash, something fell in the far off and there were bloodcurdling screams. It echoed through the corridor and each room. Sebastian's head whipped round and he made his way towards the door. He poked his head out in investigation. Suddenly, he began to shout and ran off towards the scene. As he ran off, the door shut behind him. Leaving Clary alone with Jace (who was unconscious). She looked down at his face. The blood had dried and the bruises had become a dark purple, despite this, he still looked sound and peaceful. Clary softly kissed his forehead, her lips gently brushed against his skin.
"I love you too Jace." She said soothingly, shutting her eyes. "I will love you forever."
She stroked his hair with her fingers, and held his cheek.
"Well Clary, forever is a very long time."
She began to tremble as she saw his lips move. She felt his chest rise and fall and his steady heart beat. Clary slowly opened her eyes which were sticky with tears and they met with Jace's. He smiled and she sighed with relief. He reached up and she held him, her arms wrapped around his neck.
"Jace-" she said breathlessly. She held onto him for her life.
"I'm here Clary, I'm here."
