Chapter 22

It took a little while to get to Klutch because there was so much traffic. Once we finally got there, it was super crowded. There were people everywhere, including outside in the huge line outside.

“We’re never going to get in here, Pat.” I said to our driver.

“Sure you will. Just tell them who you are and show them your ID. You’ll get in.” He said, seeming sure of himself.

“But we aren’t famous, our boyfriends are.” Transita said.

“Just trust me, ladies.” Pat said, ignoring any further statements from us.

I looked at the girls, silently asking if we should try or not.

“Let’s try, and if we don’t, we can go somewhere else. The night is still young.” Sarah said.

I nodded my head, and we made our way out of the car. Immediately, you could hear the loud music. We went to the back of the tremendously long line. We stood there for about five minutes when we saw a shorter line that contained about seven other people. We walked to that line and waited. Hopefully we’ll get in through this way. Within minutes, we were at the front, getting ID’ed and being let in. We all looked at each other in shock and walked to the door, hearing shouts and people yelling at us and the bouncer that we should be at the back of the line because we had just gotten there. We ignored them and so did the bouncer, who kindly opened the door for us, sending us a smile and a “have a great time, ladies.”

As soon as we entered, the smell of sweat, mixes of alcohol and cigarettes hit our noses. We spotted an empty table, pushing through people grinding and making out. Once we got there, we sat down. Almost instantly, a guy who worked here came up to us and asked what we wanted to drink. We each chose something and he walked away.

“Wow, it’s crazy in here.” Transita said.

“I know. It’s gonna be a good night though. I can feel it.” I said, beginning to dance in my seat.

“You wanna dance?” Sarah asked, already knowing the answer from seeing me get antsy in my chair.

We all jumped up after we got our drinks and made our way to the dance floor. We were dancing with each other and random people too. After what felt like ages, we decided to go back to our table and drink a bit. We pushed through more people and as our table was in sight, we saw three guys sitting at it. We didn’t know who they were, so we walked up to them.

“Excuse me, this is our table.” I yelled so I was heard over the loud music.

“But no one was sitting here.” One said. He had brown hair and blue eyes. Not ugly.

“We were but we went to dance, you know, since this is a club and all.” Sarah said, sarcastically.

It made the guys laugh. I looked at the other ones and they were all kind of cute. There was a black haired one with brown eyes, a blonde one with hazel eyes and the brown haired one with the blue eyes. They looked about our age too, maybe a bit older, but not by much.
