Chapter 21

Once we were all dressed and ready, we grabbed our purses, making sure our wallets inside had our ID’s and our room keys, we walked out and went to the elevator. Once we were all inside Transita clicked the lobby button, and the door immediately closed.

“So what happened in there?” Sarah asked, randomly.

I looked over at her. “What do you mean?”

“You know, with you and Ashton.”

I shrugged my shoulders. “Girl, I have no idea.”

The elevator doors opened, and we walked out, heading straight to the back entrance, knowing we would never get out through the front.

“Well what were you two talking about?” Transita asked. “I’m not meaning to pry into your relationship or anything, I was just asking. You don’t need to answer if you don’t want to.” She said, seeming to feel bad after asking.

“Transita, you and Sarah are my best friends. I’d tell you whether you were asking or not.” I explained. “But Mike and I were talking and I asked him ‘hypothetically’ if Ash and I ended up falling asleep in the same bed, would it really be that big of a deal.” I explained, hopping into the back of one of the many suburbans, Sarah and Transita both following, the door being closed behind us.

“Hey did you eat yet?” Sarah asked both.

“I’ve just been snacking really.” I replied, Transita nodding her head in agreement. 

“Good, we can get dinner and drink at the bar in the restaurant?” She suggested.

Transita and I both nodded our heads, happy with the plan. Once we asked the driver a good place to eat, he began to drive- apparently knowing a great place.

“So you never finished your story.” Sarah said, reminding me of what we were talking about earlier.

“Oh right,” I began. “So I asked him and he said it wasn’t a big deal, as long as we weren’t dating. But I told Ash that it was a good reaction and I guess he didn’t think so, I’m not sure why he acted the way he did.” I finished, shrugging my shoulders.

“Maybe because he didn’t see it as a good reaction because Mike added in the dating part?” Transita guessed.

“I mean that’s probably what it was, but I’ll have to ask him afterwards. Now lets not ruin this night with stupid bullshit like that. Lets have a good time!” I said, getting excited.

We arrived at the restaurant that the driver had suggested, and luckily it didn’t look too crowded. We walked in and went up to the hostess.

“Hey there, may I help you?” She asked with a smile.
