Chapter 23

I woke up with a splitting headache. It felt like my head was going to explode. Two nights in a row getting wasted probably wasn’t the greatest idea on my part, but I wouldn’t change it. I was having such a good time. Luckily, Ashton was still next to me and was awake.

“Hey babe, how do you feel?” He asked, rubbing my temple soothingly.

“Like shit, but I had fun.” I said.

“Did you do anything at the club that you shouldn’t have?” He asked all of a sudden, looking down at me.

“Why would I?” I asked, kind of hurt he thought I would do anything like that.

“I’m just wondering. Everyone gets crazy when they get drunk.” He said.

“I’ve never gotten to the point where I hook up with some random person, if that’s what you’re implying.” I angrily said. “So if ‘everyone gets crazy when they get drunk’, does that mean you have too?” I spat, quoting his words exactly.

“I’m not implying anything babe. Never mind. And no, I haven’t. Just never mind. So tell me what you did last night? Anything interesting happen?” He asked, choosing his words carefully. My anger began to disappear.

“Well we went to a place called Karma. We picked this table and went to dance and when we went back to it, there were three guys there. It was awkward, they asked if they could sit with us because there wasn’t another table to sit at. Trying to be nice, we said yes and sat across from them. I was talking to one and he asked me what I was doing here because he had never seen us before. I told him our boyfriends were touring and he asked what band. I told him and he called you guys fags. I defended the shit out of you all and left. We were so pissed so we all got white girl wasted. After that, I’m not sure how we got here, but I’m glad we did.” I explained, laughing towards the end.

Ashton laughed and shook his head. “My girl defended my band?” He asked.

I nodded my head and smiled. “Of course I did.” I said. “Plus if anyone is going to call you guys fags, it’s going to be me.” I finished.

“Aw baby, I love you.” He said, ignoring my last statement and kissing my forehead gently.

“I love you too.” I replied, snuggling into his side again. I didn’t want to get up again today. I knew I had to though because the guys had another show before we went to the next location. The show was tonight and afterwards we were going on a plane again. I huffed just thinking about it, raising myself up to sit up.

“What’s wrong?” He asked.

“I have to start packing my stuff to go tonight. I don’t want to but I know if I don’t do it now it won’t ever get done.” I said, walking to the closet to grab my partially empty suitcase. Sarah was still sleeping, so I was trying to be somewhat quiet.

“But babe, it’s only-” he started, stopping to look at my phone to see the time. “Oh never mind. We slept late.” He laughed.
