Chapter 6

“So then we ended up falling in the water, which ended up being full of mud. It was so disgusting, I thought I was going to vomit!” I giggled at the story Sarah was telling me about her and her brother.

“I can’t believe you guys did that.” I laughed.

We had barely gotten on the plane, and we were just chilling in our seats waiting to take off and get this party started. It was a private plane, so it was quite small, which was weird for me, since I was used to normal sized planes. In the very first row was Mike and Cal, and in the second to last row was Sarah and I, and Ash and Luke behind us. Mike and Cal didn’t want to sit too close to us because we are ‘loud and obnoxious’, or so they said. The stewardess was walking along the narrow isle asking if we wanted anything to drink. She came to our row and asked Sarah and I, we both nodded and asked for a simple soda. She handed it to us and walked to the last row. Finally, we took off and I could already hear my brother snoring away a few rows ahead of us. I knew he wasn’t going to last long, he couldn’t keep his eyes open for anything. I turned my iPod on and started listening to music, hopefully falling asleep and catching a few hours of sleep.

I felt myself dozing off when something poked my left shoulder. I ignored it, and tried to keep my eyes closed, hoping sleep would overtake me again. But once again, I felt it. I looked to my left and saw Sarah sleeping, so it wasn’t her. So I looked behind me through the seats, and saw that Luke was also sleeping. I looked to the other side and saw that Ashton was sleeping too, so to say I was a bit confused was an understatement. I turned back around, and carried on trying to sleep when I was poked again. This time I turned around and came face to face with a smirking Ashton.

“I thought you were sleeping.” I whispered, making sure not to wake anyone. “You’re an asshole.”

He kept smirking. “I know,” he replied. “But I wanted to give you this.” He said, handing me a napkin with writing on it. I took it from between the seats and read it;

Wanna go into the bathroom and join the mile high club? ;)

Oh. My. God. I turned around in my seat and handed it back to him. “You do realize my brother is on this airplane right? You do know he’s like, only a few feet away? Do you realize any of this?” I whispered.

He simply nodded his head. This boy was nuts. There was no way I was going to have sex with him in the airplane, there’s just so many things wrong with that. I shook my head no, and turned back around. I felt another poke.

I turned around. “What?” I asked.

“Please?” He asked me, pushing out his bottom lip and trying to do sad, pleading eyes. I laughed at how cute he was, but shook my head no again.

“Maybe another time, now let me get some sleep.” I replied, and turned myself back around.

Just to make things clear- Ashton and I haven’t had sex before. We joke about it all the time, but we’ve never actually done it. All we’ve ever done is make out and stuff like that, but never the whole way. Just because we’re dating didn’t mean we had to. I wasn’t ready and he knew that. He didn’t push me into doing anything I didn’t want to do, which I was happy about. I was glad I found someone that was willing to wait.
