Chapter 28

They started to sing She Looks so Perfect when Dave said we could go backstage to greet them when they came off. At first we said no because we didn’t want to miss the other performance, but he explained again that there was a slight intermission so they could switch the stage setup. The song was almost over when we were following Dave to the back of the stage so we could meet our boys.

“Thank you so much! You were all incredible! We love you!” Luke said to the crowd, the other boys following saying their thank you’s also.

We heard an irruption of screams and then the boys appeared behind the curtain with their instruments in their hands, handing them to the people waiting to grab them and put them away safely. We each walked up to them and gave them a hug and kiss saying how well they did.

“You were amazing! You really know how to amp up the crowd!” Transita said, amazed.

“Yeah you do. It’s amazing.” Sarah agreed.

“Okay, lets go get something to eat and head up to our seats so we can watch the others perform.” Ashton said, grabbing my hand and leading us over to a private area to get snacks and drinks.

Mike and Cal followed Ashton’s lead and grabbed Sarah and Transita’s hands, and all of them following us so we could eat. Once we grabbed some water and some bags of chips and other random items, we began walking back to where me and the girls were only a few minutes prior. We each found a seat and began eating and talking.

“So how well do they do? I didn’t get to see them the last time since you put me to sleep.” I asked Ashton.

He laughed, remembering that night. “They do great. They really know how to put on a good show. I enjoy it.” He replied.

I simply nodded my head and took a sip of my water. What seemed like forever, the lights finally turned off and the girls began to scream bloody murder. I swear if you didn’t know a concert was going on, you’d think they were getting tortured. The band was on the stage when the lights turned on, just like rehearsals, and then the five of them were lined up and began to sing. Their concert lasted a good amount of time, but now they were saying their goodbyes and thank you’s to the crowd, moving to the place where they started, and slowly lowering down until they weren’t visible anymore.

“Wow, that really was amazing.” I said to Ashton in awe.

“Told you.” He smiled, wrapping his arm around my waist.

“We’ll be right back, we’re gonna go change into normal clothes.” I told him, grabbing Transita and Sarah. We ran into the bathroom, changed our clothes in record time, and came back in, Dave walking in behind us.

“Let’s go, we have to go to the cars so we can head out to the airport and fly to the next location.” Dave said, ushering us out of the room and keeping up behind us to the cars.

“Get in whichever one you want, but hurry because we have to go.” He said, Paul coming up behind him, the other five following closely behind.
