Zach was woken up with some soft kisses on his cheek.

"Hm." He hums.

"Babe we gotta get up." Jack says softly.

"Five more minutes Jacky...im so tired from yesterday."

"Okay baby...five more minutes."The curly head snuggles on his chest, hugging him tightly.

They stay in silence for a bit.

"The kids at school are having their first game of the season this Friday...wanna go see it with me?"

"Can we go to Rizzo's afterwards?"

"Of course we can baby..." Jack pecks his chest.

Zach sighs happily.

"I missed being like this with you." He mumbles.

The truth is, with the divorce, the moving and adapting to Belle's new school and a whole new school year hasn't been easy on the couple.

One thing was certain though.

Through all of this they didn't argue once. Mostly because Zach was almost always right and because they talked things out with each other.

"Me too...how are you feeling? I hope I wasn't too rough on you."

"You weren't...you're the sweetest, most gentle thing...im more worried about me accidentally hurting you than you hurting me...in fact..."

Zach lifts Jack's shirt and peeks at his back.

"Baby it's cold..."The curly head whines.

The brunet pull his shirt back down.

"I know...i was just seeing if i scratched you too much yesterday...i don't wanna see you hurt."

"Did you?"

"A bit yeah...sorry by the way."

"Oh baby, it's okay...i don't min-"

The alarm clock rings again.

"Okay, we really gotta go now."

They peck and get out of bed.

Zach knocks on Kristin's door.

Today he was wearing some grey dress pants with one of Jack's hoodies. And Jack was wearing the usual suit.

The curly head pecks his head just as Kristin opens the door holding Belle.

"Zachy! Dad!"

The couple chuckle.

"Oh my Bee baby." Zach picks her up and kisses her cheek lovingly.

"I missed you Zachy."

"I missed you too baby."

Jack smiles at the scene.

"Did you two have fun yesterday?"

Zach blushes heavily.

"Oh a lot of fun." Jack smirks.

The brunet nudges him.

"Alright son, you gotta go to work...me and zach have a lot to catch up."

"We do?"

"Yes we do Mr.Herron...are you forgetting we were gonna give each other manicures?"

"Uhh...maybe?"Zach chuckles nervously.

"Okay, I'll let you two catch up, see ya tonight baby...call me if you need anything." Jack picks Belle up.

Jack gives him a long peck.

"I love you."

"I love you too...and I love you Bee."

Zach pecks Belle's cheek lovingly.

"I love you too Zachy."She smiles.

"Okay, we really gotta go now." Jack pecks him and his forehead and runs to the car with Belle on his arms.

The son-in-law–mother-in-law duo waves them goodbye.

Kristin turns to him and grabs his hands.

He was still wearing the ring jack gave him, but...

"No engagement ring." She says quietly.

"It's been a tough year for him Kristin...lets not rush him...we're both in it for the long run and i don't plan on leaving him at all."

The woman sighs.

"I know...its just that with Gabriela it was so fast. He proposed to her on their first trip."

Zach furrows his eyebrows.

"Jack didn't propose...she did, after she told him she was pregnant."

Kristin furrows her eyebrows too.

"No...i remember it perfectly she...told me...that lying bitch."

"I'm not supposed to tell you this, but Dani said he saw her poking holes into condoms."

Kristin leans on the wall, livid.

"Lets sit you down Kristin...im sorry for-"

"Where did she go for four months? Jack told me she was on a business trip."

Zach gulps.

"Jonah said that she went to hawai'i for a while...because she was burnt out...thats what caused most of the mess." He says quietly.

"So my baby was abandoned, cheated on, used, accused of domestic violence and insulted because of her?"

Zach nods slowly.

"And you got him away from her?"

He nods again.

The woman hugs him very very tightly as she sobbed.

"You're an angel Zach...an angel."

The brunet smiles.

"I told you I'd do anything to make him happy."

The woman grabs his face.

"Thank God for the day my sweet boy laid his eyes on you and loved you...you saved him."

Zach smiles, tears at brim too.

"I promised I'd be there for him Kristin...i just want to make him happy."

"And you do...so much...son."

Zach starts crying and hugs the woman tightly.

It was now Kristin's time to comfort him.

Zach was about to start making dinner when his phone rang.

The name jack💙 was displayed on the phone.

"Is everything okay baby?"

"Hey babe...you didn't start making dinner did you?"

"I was about to."

"Great...dont. I forgot I had a dinner with the superintendent and a few more principals...in about twenty minutes...so can you pretty please get dressed and pick some clothes for me and Bee?"

"Sure."

"It doesn't have to be suit and tie...maybe something similar."

"I'm on it...drive carefully, we can just say that traffic was terrible."

"I know...but I hate being fucking-YO ASSHOLE EVER HEARD OF THE BLINKERS!?"

Zach chuckles.

"Okay, I got it...see ya in a bit babe."

"Me and Bee love you."

"I love you too." Zach hangs up.
