Info: When Valentine faked his death and Jonathan's he also faked his eldest daughters as well before he took her to the Wayland Manor where she is raised side by side with Jace. When she's 13 and Jace is 10 he fakes his death again as Michael Wayland, he leaves his daughter with his 'weaker' son believing that she was weak like Jace. Even though Jonathan is her biological brother she sees Jace as her brother more so than Jonathan since she grew up with him. Over the years she and Jace formed a bond that was as close as siblings could be especially while living with the Lightwoods at the New York Institute.
