The short run wasn't enough.

She was getting angrier by each passing second and she didn't know why. She felt the energy in the air shift with her mood, despite not understanding the reason for her anger, she tried to relax once again on her way to King Romanov's study.

Calysta mind linked her to tell her that she was already in his study and they were waiting for her while Eris felt her aura growing and the air chilling with each step closer to his study, she felt her claws elongate and her eyes turning red.

She knew this wasn't her wolf, it was her other side which only meant one thing.

Chaos.

Whatever or whoever was in that study with the King his Beta and her Gamma was bad news. She knew this because her other side only pushed forward when danger was around.

Her breath started growing heavier and her steps became stomps, it started raining and thundering outside, her other side already bringing discord upon everything around her.

With one powerful hit she broke the study's door down and immediately started stalking towards the King.

Before Eris was around, everyone in the palace felt the shift, most of the Lunas were cowering behind their mates while the Alphas were on full alert, they were stressed, anxious, they felt the energy crackle all around them which forcefully brought out their fur side.

The King gave orders through his mind link for the Gamma to bring all the people in the palace to the safe house and his warriors to prepare.

For what? Even he couldn't explain. He of all the other people present should know what was about to happen yet he didn't which brought worry upon his pack members.

Romanov knew Eris was out on her run thanks to Calysta who informed him, and he was anxious for her, he knew she was powerful but surely not enough to protect herself from whatever was coming.

It felt dangerous, more so than anyone could ever think of.

What he didn't know was that Eris was the reason for all the disaster around them, how could he?

So when Eris brok his study's door down he was conflicted on what to feel.

On one hand he was glad she was okay while on the other hand he was confused and aggravated by the fact that she was threateningly stalking towards him.

What him and his Beta failed to notice were the changes in her appearance and feel the aura surrounding her.

Calysta already knew what was happening to her Alpha but like the others she didn't know why yet she knew one thing, Eris was keen on not using her other side and the only reason she would come out would be imminent danger which made her yell out to the Beta and Alpha.

"Duck down fast, don't stand in her way." Yelled Calysta while moving herself to the other corner of the room, opposite to where Eris was coming from.

The Beta didn't waste a second in ducking, trusting The Alphas Gamma to know what was happening while the Alpha on the other hand took a second too long to react to Calysta's warning and wasn't successful in doing so he didn't realize how fast Alpha Eris moved until her hand was buried through his chest.

The Beta didn't waste a second in running to his Alphas aid, while the Beta moved, Calysta yelled out again.

"No, don't! Don't, Beta Aziz trust me I am begging you fall back, stay away from Alpha Eris, you don't stand a chance!" She cried out in despair.

But she was too late, the Beta already jumped on her Alphas back and with one quick motion he was sent throughout all the walls in the east wing of the palace and out in the thunder storm.

Only after falling through all the walls, right before he became unconscious he saw Alpha Eris's aura.

Crimson red.

Which only meant two things.

Destruction and death.

While Calysta was about to run towards Beta Aziz, she watched her Alpha carefully, wanting to understand what was happening but it wasn't too long before she realized her Alpha wasn't out fo the King's blood.

No.

Her hand went through his chest, the part that was supposed to be in his chest was going through and all the way out to his back and there wasn't any sing of blood on his chest nor pain in his eyes, the only thing she could see in his gaze was confusion and slight fear.

That confused Calysta more, if her Alpha didn't intend to kill the King, who did she intend to kill?

And that's when all hell broke loose.

The ground beneath them trembled, it  cracked and opened.
The sky roared, lighting striking at an alarming close distance to the castle and the palace walls shook.

In one smooth movement and an earth-shattering roar, Alpha Eris was gone, jumping through the crater caused by the earthquake before it started closing up.

And suddenly everything went back to normal, as nothings ever happened, her, King Romanov and Beta Aziz were seated in the study the exact same way they were before everything happened, the palace looked normal  and to her utmost shock, only her and the Alpha King seemed to remember what happened.

"What the fuck was that?" Roared King Romanov before turning to his Beta, only then noticing his presence which wasn't supposed to be there because not too long ago he was on the palace grounds, knocked out cold, he might've been in shock with the Alpha's hand in his chest but he was still aware of his surroundings.

And while normally he would include his Beta in everything, this matter was obviously private seeing as everything around them was back to normal.

He turned to his Beta and asked him to leave because he had to talk to Gamma Calysta in private.

Aziz sent a questioning glance toward his Alpha which mind linked him and told him " I will explain later, now's not the time Aziz, get the fuck out before I loose my fucking marbles, the meeting with Alpha Eris will be postponed until later."

With those words in mind and a last quick glance between Romanov and Gamma Calysta, he bowed and left.

The King turned to Gamma Calysta and growled so loud that she could feel its vibration ran through her chest and for once in her lifetime she had no clue what to do.

She looked at the Alpha King and answered with an "I don't know, I have to go search for her, I'm sorry my King but only she knows what happened and she could be in danger, please, excuse me." Before turning to leave.

King Romanov growled again before answering.

"You're not going anywhere until your Alpha comes back and explains what the fuck happened."

What they both didn't know was that her Alpha was going to be gone for weeks.

The only sign that what happened was true and not a figment of their imagination was a red feather on the floor.

Calysta might've not known what happened but Beta Axis knew.

Alpha Eris prepared him a very long time ago for such an incident, and he felt her other side come out all the way from their pack.

He didn't know the exact circumstances but he knew something happened and he knew he'd have to take over their pack until she returns.
