What none of them understood, was the fact that he wasn't yelling at Alpha Eris, he was yelling at the guard currently torturing him.
Everyone turned shocked to Eris, only to see a smirk adorning her face and her claws out.
"Woah, she can smirk?" Asked the king's Beta sarcastically.
Eris ignored him and joined the guard inside the prisoners chamber.
If they thought his yells were annoying before, now they were even more deafening.
"Queen Eris!" Were the first that came out of his mouth when he saw her.
The smell of piss reached their noses, disgusting them beyond belief, the prisoner just pissed himself.
"Unbelievable!" Exclaimed Calysta. "This is downright shameless."
It took her a few seconds to realize who exactly was in the cell.
"No, " her voice trembled, she started taking short steps backwards.
"No.." her breathing was getting heavier.
"No!" She was on the brink of a panic attack.
Her voice raising with each spoken word.
"Impossible , I..I thought you.. Alpha, he isn't dead?!"
The King and his Beta stood straighter, confusion painting their faces.
"What is the meaning of this, why did she call us down here, who is he and why is he calling Alpha Eris, Queen Eris?" Questioned the King while failing to notice the Gammas almost panic attack.
They all watched closely the man's interaction with the Alpha, they didn't know what happened who was he or why were they even there and that was maddening.
"My Queen, your majesty, your highness, I beg of you, I have learned, I have grown, I have changed, please, your greatness, allow me, a mere servant, my undeserving mercy."
"How dare you, you disgusting creature, mercy is the last thing you deserve, your voice shouldn't ever be heard, you're not deserving of anything other than timeless torture. Everything you have done to all those people, to me, to Alpha Eris, all those things should never be forgotten or ignored, children, mere children, this, this is what your used to pry upon, and now, that someone older, someone conscious is giving you what you deserve, you have the nerve to beg?"
Silence followed Calysta's words, after reminding herself of her worth and her power, she successfully avoided her panic attack and finally heard his voice, that is why she decided to speak up, all the flashbacks, everything came rushing back to her, while still disoriented, she was grateful for her growth.
She turned to Alpha Eris, bowing, in remembrance of al the things she has done for her.
Watching her cautiously, Alpha Eris kept her temper in check, only bowing as well, to remind Calysta of her status which in Eris's eyes was just as high as hers.
She motioned for the guard to let the prisoner and leave.
"This right here, Alpha King, is the proof that you all needed."
"This is Theodore Moreau. The owner of the institute Alpha Eris destroyed years ago. Rather the remains of him, one would say, gone is his mind, his intelligence and his powers, reduced to nothing but a desperate creature, all due to Alpha Eris." Calysta was about to say something when the King spoke.
"I know now, I believe, I know there has been only one werewolf since the beginning of time that has had orange eyes."
The King nodded his head, seeing enough, he decided there wasn't need for him to witness more to believe. His mind was made up.
"She can speak." He heard while walking away.
That stopped him dead in his tracks, in the short period of time he has been graced with her presence, she hasn't ever spoken a word, he was convinced she was mute.
"What do you mean?" Decided to ask Romanov.
"Her vocal cords. Neither I nor anyone else who tortured her ever touched them." That confused him, he saw her throat, the scar that seemed to surround it, that cut would definitely destroy anyone's vocal cords.
He only now noticed the cell right in front of Theodore Moreau. There was a figure, barely holding itself up, holding onto the wall for dear life.
He didn't realize that the one who said she could speak was another person, not Theodore.
"And who are you, please do tell." His voice boomed.
"I used to go by Irdix, your majesty." His tone, his voice, they were scratchy, like he hadn't spoken in years, centuries even.
"It's second hand." Spoke Calysta disgusted, the monstrosity didn't deserve to be called by anything else than it, Theodor Moreau after all was the reason for her nightmares and fears, even after all these years.
"Why did you keep them alive?" The Betas question seemed easy. After all, anyone would be able to provide an answer to such a question, seeing as the founders of that facility should've been killed shortly after being captured.
"For once, I can't provide an answer, Beta Aziz, the only one with that knowledge is Alpha Eris and by the looks of it, she doesn't want to answer." Calysta's tone was strong but it held emotion, she was just as curious as the Beta.
Eris motioned for Calysta to show them the way out, it seemed like she wanted to stay there a little bit longer.
Calysta understanding the hidden meaning turned to King Romanov and Beta Aziz
"Let us be on our way gentlemen, Alpha Eris will join us later, she has some business to deal with and while we wait for her, I'm sure you have a lot of questions which I'll gladly answer if I can." She motioned for them to follow her to the exit, leaving Alpha Eris there without looking back.
The Vampire King was sitting at his desk, talking animatedly to one of his commanders when he felt the change in the dimension, a beast was lurking somewhere in the shadows.
It escaped its prison which shouldn't have ever happened, something big was going on and he hated not being aware of it.
"You should leave, Endrix. I have some things to do, prepare the east army and tell the others to double their training." His voice sounded bored. He knew it would've taken only a snap of his finger for his commander to leave but he didn't want to be so rude, it was completely unnecessary.
"Of course Master. I will inform everyone of the change in plans, goodbye." Said Endrix while bowing before leaving.
The Vampire let out a huff before standing up and buttoning his shirt back up and arranging his tie.
"Let's see where is this beast at." Was his last thought before leaving.
