His eyes widened at the sight, the first thought that came to his mind, was to run up to her and steal her from the sight of the world. She was the most exquisite being he has ever seen.
"I-, Alpha." He bowed, his eyes moving from Eris to his unnamed soulmate.
His yellow irises turned green, showing signs of his wolf's appearance, taking slow steps forward, he glances at his Alpha again, unsure whether he was allowed to go to his mate or not, he didn't want to disrespect Alpha Eris by not waiting for her green light.
His hands twitched in anticipation and when he saw Eris's slight nod of approval, it took him less than two seconds to reach his soulmate, pick her up and run off with her.
Eris's lips almost moved upwards at the excitement rolling off of him, once again, an unknown feeling settling in her chest. She rubbed her hand softly over her heart, the feeling of it beating almost... excitedly, confusing her.
She turned on her heels and headed for the woods, leaving the new couple behind. Her thoughts wandering to her own lovers and what their future together would have looked like, had it not been for the damned prophecy.
Tormented by the thoughts of her demise, she once again stopped them before they could do any real damage to her and everyone around her.
She wanted to head towards the one and only place in which she feelt free, trying to decipher the hieroglyphs forming in her mind, her mental state left a lot to be desired, it truly did yet even then she was one of the most brilliant people there had ever been.
She knew that time was running out but she was closer than ever to finding the key to win this upcoming disaster.
She watched the moon, it's brightness lighting up the forest she walked through. She finally knew where she was heading, after confirming it with Lancia, she didn't waste a second in deciding to go after it that very moment. The thoughts of her safe place leaving as fast as they arrived. She didn't have time to enjoy herself, she was on a mission which could not be deterred by personal pleasures.
The forest was getting thicker, the trees leaning in on each other, shielding her from the only existing light, the moon.
She glanced down at the fallen leaves surrounding her and found herself admiring once again their unique colors, she could hear the sounds of the crickets and the owls that were hovering above her, her eyes turned darker, her powers helping her sight in the darkness. She never enjoyed the light, having a personality that boarded dangerously close towards darkness, which in their world meant something dangerous was one of the reasons she didn't particularly enjoy the light.
Yet to her, darkness only meant peace and safety.
Her steps were soft and unheard as she entered the cave in which the supposed object lies, when she finally confirmed its whereabouts, she was displeased to say the least, it was very close to her, all this time... right at the edge of her territory. She felt stupid when she realized how fast she could've gotten it and how she could've prevented everything from happening centuries ago.
She glanced at the stone walls surrounding her, their color seemed to be a bit off, in an unnatural way, it was too perfect for this to be a real cave, the dull grey looked painted on and instead of having a texture, it was smooth, too smooth. She moved her hand to the wall and dragged it along the length of the weirdly perfect stones, indeed they were smooth and not only that, but a substance was on them, a substance which glowed white the moment she touched it.
