"Alpha, I need to know the plan, the whole plan. I respect you and trust your decisions but I must know how to act and what to expect." Calysta's eyes moved slightly alarmed to Eris's own dark irises, to which she nodded in acceptance.

The war was closer than ever and she couldn't hold off on telling her anymore.

She summoned Axis in the office and when he arrived he motioned for him to explain.

"Yes, Alpha?" He asked slightly breathless, Eris knew he just came back from a run, he announced his departure in the morning, telling her he needed to follow a trail.

"You know what is needed of us, don't you, Axis?" Asked Calysta slightly aggravated.

He bowed his head and looked at his Alpha, waiting for a command.

Eris nodded and left the room, leaving the two to their own while she decided to continue Axis's search.

Leaving the borders of her own pack left her breathless for it most often caused an adventure to arise.

She walked with purpose, her steps allowing nothing but intent to be understood. She gazed at the beautiful sky, enjoying the stars adorning it even in the morning light. She knew Astraeus was somewhere out there watching her, the thought bringing her peace.

She headed north, towards where Axis's scent led her, it was a village, close by, in which the lower class people resided, she walked through it, her head held high while watching the foes around her, most dressed in ripped, old clothes, her heart soaring at the sight, a emotion which she rarely felt gripping at her like a child to a mother's breast.

She caught sight of a beautiful tiny girl, her hair falling over her bruised face, the view unsettling her, turning on her heel, she headed to the bruised little girl, looking around her, searching for whoever did this to her. Getting closer to her, she bent her knees, trying to appear less intimidating to the little one, she motioned with her hands to the girls face to which the child answered.

"Mother was not pleased with me disobeying her and she punished me." Her trembling voice was heard.

To this, Eris moved her gaze. Her eyes meeting the one of a woman inside the house behind the little girl, something told her it was the mother.

Maybe her beautiful red hair was a giveaway, the same color the child seemed to inherit, or maybe her eyes, the deep blue, which seemed condemned to a life of misfortune that the little one shared.

Whichever it was, did not matter for Eris stood taller at the sight of the woman and walked straight towards the entrance of the poorly built house, ignoring the lingering gaze of question which seemed to be set upon her by many people in the village.

Words were not needed, the moment the woman saw Eris, she fell to trembling knees, begging for mercy, trying to explain the unexplainable abuse, begging for understanding, hinting at the fact that if the girl were to be Eris's, she would've done the same which in return caused her unfortunate, or rather, fortunate pain.

Eris copied the exact same bruises she had seen on the little girls face to her mothers, but with a twist, a cut deep enough to never be forgotten.

Only when the woman fell unconscious, did Eris turn her heel and left, seeing the little girl smile brought a glimpse of joy to her rather cold soul. She nodded her head in return, the sight of gratitude from the little one not leaving unanswered.

She continued her way through the streets of the village, passing haunted looking houses and other which seemed to be in better shape, the sight bringing a thought to her mind which caused a tilt of her lips.

While everything happening in her life was hard to ignore, the thoughts of a better future for those people and others made Eris once again accept her fate, which she decided to not dwindle on again.

Her steps resumed their depth and her thought once again left the misfortune of those in the village when she scented someone close by.

The exact person Axis was looking for, she found, and what a pleasant sight greeted her upon her arrival.

A beautiful, tall woman whose eyes seemed to be forged from the most beautiful greens to exist, her silky hair owned the color of light like no other and her white smile brought a sense of warmth to everything dead around her.

The sight would leave anyone breathless yet Eris was immune, her eyes already caught with someone else.

Her steps now softer, moved towards the woman, Eris opened her mind link, listening to the woman's thoughts.

"I fear that invading ones personal thoughts is wrong, Alpha." The woman bowed, her voice a whisper of a song.

Eris was aware of that but her impediment to speak was a disturbance when trying to talk to someone new.

"I know, Alpha, it was a mere jest, not intended to offend." The melodious voice spoke again.

Eris's face remained neutral, she was aware that the woman would be able to read her thoughts, that was her intent.

"I know why you are here, Alpha, the goddess of the moon came to me, she spoke of your unannounced appearance and made my purpose clear. I shall come with you willingly."

Eris nodded and motioned for her to follow.

"Lancia." Her voice soared to the sky once again.

"Lancia is my name."

Eris didn't seem to acknowledge her but Lancia knew she understood, and that was all that mattered.

Eris walked back to her pack, taking a different route this time, knowing the sun was about to set, she knew the sky would be clear and there would be plenty of stars to follow her back to her home, she did not want to go through the village yet again.

The path, was one through the forest, beautiful trees standing tall, their leaves coloring the ground with bewitching colors.

While the forest shielded them from the world outside of nature, it still left space for the moon to shine upon its grounds and present them its divine.

Lancia followed silently, her thought occupied by what was to come once she reached the Silent Warriors pack, she imagined how it would look, the scent of the air surrounding it and the alluring sight of the warriors who walk its grounds, be it man or woman, it wouldn't matter for Lancia knew they were all powerful and respected among the entire supernatural world.

Her hand brushed the Alpha's by mistake which brought her in a dream like state, her vision showing two paths, one leading to her end and the other one leading to something unknown even to an Oracle.

Eris noticed the lost look on her face which lasted mere seconds yet she decided against questioning it, the answer not interesting her.

She knew Lancia was a foreseer yet she also knew what her future would bring, nothing she would say would be something she's not heard before.

Back at the pack, Axis revealed all what was to be expected from his Alpha before he walked away, leaving the information to sink in.

He was throughly unsettled by his inability to find it.

He was one of the best trackers there has ever been yet he couldn't find this one person, he wanted to go and search for it again but the absence of the Alpha in the pack rendered him unable to do such thing.

Frustrated, he headed to the training grounds, in hopes of blowing off some steam but he was stopped on his way there by the sight that greeted him at the entrance of the pack house.

His Alpha was back but not barehanded.

She was back with the one person he searched for yet couldn't find that morning.

His soulmate.
