Alpha Eris looked at The King with a bored look before motioning for him to give her a paper and a pen.
Receiving them, she wrote down "Come with me, back to my pack." Then handed it back.
Romanov looked slightly taken aback, it wasn't an uncommon request nor weird, but he was shocked, throughout all the years he has been in power, he has never been invited to her pack, for god's sake, he didn't even think of looking for his mate there when he went on the search for her because of the legends of the pack, he knew his female could never be a warrior, she was meant to be a Luna.
He nodded his head before mind linking his Beta for him to join him and a few of their warriors, he wasn't about to go there alone, after all, he was a hated man in many places and his enemies could lurk anywhere.
"Well then, let us be on our way." He said, getting up.
"I will be downstairs, waiting for you to join me when you're done packing."
Alpha Eris nodded her head and got up, her Gamma following her in silence.
After packing, Gamma Calysta turned to her Alpha and asked "Are you sure Alpha? You really want to show him?" She was in disbelief, her Alpha would never invite an Alpha to her pack nor would she ever reveal him to anyone.
Him being alive and in her custody would bring her a lot of trouble with the council. What she was doing was illegal and despite the fact that she was powerful, if the council found out, Calysta wasn't sure her Alpha would be able to hold them back from wreaking havoc.
Alpha Eris nodded and grabbed her suitcase, before motioning for Calysta to go down first, following suit, Eris had a lot of questions swirling around her mind, she knew of the risk showing Romanov what she was exactly but she was tired of keeping it a secret, it was getting harder by each passing year.
At the pack house, Alpha Eris went in her office, her guests following suit. She needed to get the folder before showing the King and she also needed he key.
"So, Alpha Eris, why did you bring us here?"
She didn't answer, waiting for her Beta while searching for the folder, he would be able to explain everything to them better than she ever could.
Calysta sat down next to the King's Beta, for some unknown reason, she felt comfortable in his presence which she hasn't felt towards any other male in quite some time. He wasn't her mate and she knew that but the comfort was almost familiar to her, it was seemingly personal.
She wondered what exactly was his story, she knew he was blessed with affinities which very few others held as well. But she didn't know which ones are his or which one, in case he only had one.
When Beta Axis arrived, he stood still for a few seconds, the scene once again amusing to him, all the males there looked so small in his Alpha's office, even the King had nothing on its size, he knew his Alpha might have gone a little overboard with the office but when he asked her, the only explanation she gave was that she wouldn't like feeling constricted by its size if it were to be smaller.
He cleared his throat, bowing in the presence of King Romanov before speaking, already knowing the reason the he was here.
"As you all may have been informed, Alpha Eris was indeed the one to eradicate the camp, hundreds of years ago, and before you start doubting it, watch closely." Spoke Beta Axis.
In one smooth motion he brought a dagger out of his pocket, everyone in the room besides himself, Calysta and Alpha Eris, stood up, ready to lunge at him in case he tried to bring harm to their King.
What they didn't expect was for him to actually jump at his Alpha.
Everyone knew he stood no chance against her but he still tried, and what shocked them all beyond belief was the fact that she didn't even turn towards him, she was still looking for something, her back turned to them all.
"STOP. What are you doing? Beta Axis how dare you, she is your Alpha!" Roared the King.
It all happened in one quick motion, one moment Axis was striding towards Alpha Eris with the intent to murder her, the other he was on the floor with his dagger stuck in his side.
Eris felt his presence get closer and she knew of his intention which made her roll her eyes.
She didn't turn her front to him because she didn't need to, he was all too predictable, after all training him for years made her aware of all of his movements.
The moment he was close enough, she dropped on one knee, using the other one to swipe his feet from under him, making him go tumbling to the ground.
The King stood dumbfounded, he didn't even see the events which lead to Beta Axis landing on the floor nor understood what happened and so he stared at the Beta on the floor.
"What the fuck was that?
Alpha Eris do you mind explaining why was your Beta about to murder you? In front of us at that too, shameless." He muttered in an disbelieving tone.He turned to her, waiting for an explanation only for him to see Gamma Calysta with a replica of the dagger the Beta had, lunging at her neck from behind, although that one seemed to be dipped in something, he smelled the air, trying to scent it and he did.
Silver mixed with wolfsbane.
A normal Alpha, would probably be able to survive if someone slit their throat with a normal dagger, of course taking a long while to heal but one dipped in Silver mixed with wolfsbane?
Not even he would.
He didn't event get the chance to react or warn her because in one quick motion, Gamma Calysta put the dagger to the front of her Alpha's throat and slit it.
King Romanov watched Alpha Eris's eyes roll like she was annoyed before going to the back of her head, the action while terrifying, also quite amusing.
He stood still for a few seconds, wondering what the hell happened before jumping between his guards towards the Beta and the Gamma, with the intention to kill.
He went for Calsyta first, seeing as she was the one to murder Alpha Eris in cold blood, while the Beta's intention was the same, at least he didn't succeed.
