After the departure of her and the Beta, it was obvious that the Alphas could finally relax.

They didn't realize that because of how inattentive to their surroundings they were. Their wolves did though and while none of the Alphas were aware of who she was, their wolves knew and to put it lightly they were terrified yet full of respect for her, they could recognize their leader while their human side was useless in that sense.

She got a mind link from her Gamma, on her way back, she brought to her attention that there were a few rogue wolves getting too close to their borders for her liking and was waiting for an order on how to act because if it would've been up to her she would've killed them already for their imposing threat over her pack, even if the threat was almost irrelevant she would never take any type of chance with the safety of her pack.

Yet the only thing the Alpha told her was to be patient, because she was almost there and she'd deal with them herself.

Reaching said border the Alpha made another hand gesture towards her Beta and he immediately told the driver to stop the car. He got out and waited for his alpha with his hands clasped together behind his back and he stood a little straighter than he normally would.

Not out of fear but out of respect for his ruler.

Eris, the Alpha, decided to toy with the rogues, a cat and mouse game if you'd like..
She was extremely bored from the meeting she attended awhile back and wanted something to stimulate her so she decided to let her aura out a little bit and the rogues felt the whisper in the air.

Run.

And run they did, being more in tune with their fur side than normal werewolves, they had a keen sense of danger and they never questioned their instincts so they started running for their life.

Alpha Eris waited about 10 minutes thinking of giving them a head start because she knew that whatever they'd do, wherever they'd go, she'd catch them and she definitely enjoyed the hunt way more than she should.

And they did not disappoint, after tormenting them psychically for a short amount of time by staying in the shadows, lurking behind them, right next to them and even in front of them, tapping ever so slightly on their shoulders, their foreheads, their backs, pushing them gently, making them go crazy hearing whispers in their ears, she brought the rogues to their knees, with a slight touch, getting bored of the chase Eris decided to wait for her Beta, Axis to join her and question them.

While waiting for him she observed the whimpering rogues she could hear them cry about how they were going crazy and she was curious as to why they didn't speak seeing as her aura wasn't out anymore she didn't seem that much of a threat besides the obvious which was how easily she brought the to their knees.

When Axis arrived, he stared for a few seconds at the scene, chuckling to himself quietly before he started questioning them, wanting to know what they were doing so close to the pack borders. Yet sadly all he could get out of them were whimpers and cries of despair yet neither him nor Alpha Eris were up to listen to their cries so he asked his Alpha to make them stop whimpering so he coulf start questioning them.
With a flick of her wrist she silenced them enough to answer Axis's questions with words because contrary to popular belief, rogues weren't illiterate or crazy.

Well in most cases..

So when they calmed enough to talk, they started mumbling about how they're sorry and how they were assigned to get some sort of insight on the structure of the packs borders for their leader, whom Eris guessed as another rogue who thought of himself as an Alpha.
They were assigned to a suicide mission unknowingly because their leader thought of them as useless, they wanted to prove their worth by taking this mission.

And when asked as to why they were so terrified in the beginning despite nothing happening to them, their only answer was that they heart rumors of this territory belonging to "The silent Warrior" and they thought he had caught them.

If only they knew how true their statement was, if only they knew who their leader was messing with and to whom he really sent them to..

If only they knew the dire consequences of their actions.

If only they knew the death trap they stepped in..they would've never tried taking on the mission to prove their worth because in order to be able prove something you have to be alive.

If only..

Their life flashed through their eyes and the very last thought they had  right before the light left their eyes, was a single worded question which sadly would never be answered.

And they would never learn the truth neither would they ever get the chanceto ask the lingering question...why?
