Chapter 3: New Experiences; Part 1

There was still about an hour left before the classes would start.

I was in my school uniform and I had also had my meal already. In the morning I had to go to meet a certain someone so I had more free time than usual. I was just fiddling with my phone killing my leisure time.

That was when I heard it.

The doorbell to my room was ringing.

It was surprising.

Who would come to my room so early in the morning?

It definitely wasn't Kei. Because if that were the case she would have already messaged me.

I headed towards the entrance trying to figure out who the person was.

Whoever it might be, they sure didn't know patience. That was what I thought as the person on the other side of the door was ringing the doorbell continuously and honestly it was a bit irritating.

Before opening the door, I looked through the peephole to see who the person was.

It was a bigger shock than before. I could have never imagined her of all people to be the one ringing the bell.

"Hey, aren't you going to open the door?"

As if knowing that I was looking through the peephole, she said.

I opened the door.

The girl in front of me was Horikita Suzune, the leader of Class D.

She was also in her school uniform.

After I let her in, she placed her shoes neatly and I welcomed her to the living room.

"Do you want something to drink?"

"No, I have already had my meal."

I guessed as much. Asking her was just a formality.

She placed her bag on the floor and sat on the chair.

I sat on my bed facing her directly.

"So, what's wrong?"

I asked her.

It was rare for her to come to my room this early in the morning and without letting me know beforehand.

And didn't she feel kind of uncomfortable before entering a boy's room? Yeah, I know that she has already set foot here before, but still.

Wait, what if Sudou saw her going inside my room?

He would without a doubt kill me.

She opened her bag and took out her phone.

After a while, she turned her phone towards me.

She had received an email and the sender was Chabashira Sae.

I immediately understood what it was about and looked at her but Horikita just urged me to read further.

The message read as follows:

This is to notify you that you have been selected as the leader for Class D for Ridiculous Riddle. Your name as the leader would be submitted to the Student Council tomorrow morning.

The role of the leader is to submit the answers regarding the class code by the deadline. And only the leader would be eligible to give the answers.

Many things about the leader's roles have been kept under the shadow. 

Only the leader would have the privilege to know the full extent of the rules and conditions concerning the leader.
