"so mills..." sadie trails off as she paints her nails
"oh god." millie breathes out as she paints her nails as well
"not oh god. tell me about you and finn, what's going on? you guys went to the beach and then?" sadie asks excitingly
"how do you know?" millie asks
"well finn informed me that he was taking you somewhere then i found out from caleb that he took you to the beach." sadie smiles
"caleb knows everything doesn't he?" millie rolls her eyes
"oh yes but only if finn tells him but he tells him everything since they are like brothers." sadie chuckles
"yes, i got that." millie smiles
"so? what's going on between you two? i need details!" sadie exclaims
"nothing is going on, we are literally just friends now." millie mutters, fanning her hands to dry the nail polish
"oh my god! just friends! at least we're getting somewhere!" sadie exclaims once again as millie chuckles
"why do you want us together so much?" millie asks, furrowing her eyebrows
"you guys were legit the definition of love! you guys are soulmates!" sadie explains
"were...." millie trails off
"you know everything now, you know it wasn't his fault but yes he could have fought and shit but you know it wasn't his fault in the end. admit your stupid feelings." sadie tells her
"i don't have any stupid feelings. yeah it wasn't his fault but i don't know, i have trust issues." millie mutters
"i know that, give him a tiny tiny chance though. start off slow then slowly start building a better relationship. now that you're out of your dads whatever, you can do whatever you want." sadie smiles
"i can't do whatever i want. wherever i am, i can't." millie whispers
"why? you're free." sadie furrows her eyebrows
"it's complicated." millie mumbles
suddenly the doorbell rings as both sadie and millie turns their head quickly.
"who's at the door? it's 9 at night." sadie says
"i don't know. let me get it." millie stands up, walking towards the door
she opens the door and her eyes widen at who it was, "mum? w-what are you doing here?"
"i can't stay for long but i wanted to see you." kelly smiles softly
millie sighs, looking back at sadie as she nods, raising a eyebrow at her to tell her to talk to her.
"does dad know you're here?" millie asks
"no. he thinks i'm out at the pharmacy." kelly tells her
"wanna come in then?" millie mutters, looking down at her feet as she leans against the door
kelly nods, walking into the apartment as millie shuts the door, "what are you actually here for?"
kelly walks to the kitchen island as millie follows her, "come home, millie." kelly whispers
"you know i wouldn't. i might get my own apartment soon and then once filming is over i-i'm thinking of moving to LA. i'm not going home and i never will." millie tells her quietly
kelly sighs, "millie, i need you to come home. at least for me."
"no. i don't know what it is but my brain is literally telling me not to go home." millie says softly
