"bye ava, i'll miss you." millie hugs her little sister tightly
"i'll miss you too, mills." ava mumbles against her shoulder
"call me when you get there, okay?" millie pulls back from the hug as ava nods, "and don't-"
"millie." robert cuts her off with a glare
millie nods, "r-right, you guys have to go."
both robert and kelly turns around and starts to walk back to the car. millie took that as a silent message to follow them so she did.
but she couldn't just leave without giving her siblings one last hug.....
she turns around, running back to her siblings and embracing them into a group hug, "i'll really miss you guys."
"us too, millie but you have to go back now." paige says quietly
millie nods, "i know, just wanted to give you guys once last hug." she whispers before letting go of the hug and turning around
she runs back towards her parents, kelly quickly holding her hand and pulls her close and robert glares at her.
they silently get into the car, millie giving leo a wave and robert not even bothered to give a proper greeting.
"honey, want to go shopping with me later? we can get some inspiration for you dress for the sag awards." kelly suggests in attempt to lighten the mood
"sure, why not?" millie whispers with a small sigh at the end
she really was going to miss her siblings, especially ava.
"great, then leo, can you drop us off at the mall?" kelly asks
leo nods with a smile, "sure."
not long later they arrive at the mall and millie makes sure to say goodbye to her dad when leaving the car even though he won't say it back.
he always talks about manners but he, himself, has none.
"be back soon." robert speaks up emotionless as the door closes
millie sighs sadly as kelly holds her hand before leading her into the mall, "don't worry about it." she reminds her
millie just nods as they walk through the crowded people. at times like this is where she's grateful to not have a bodyguard anymore. she feels a sense of freedom now.
they make their way into chanel and millie takes off her sunglasses that she had on.
of course people recognised her immediately so they were all rushing over to her like she was some royalty.
"ms brown, how can i help you today?" a women asks
"we have a lot of new items we could show you." another women tells her
millie just gives them a polite smile, "i think i would just like to walk around for a bit, but i would definitely find if you guys if i need some help." she walks off with her mum
the sales women just nod, moving out of the way to let her have some privacy.
"this looks nice." kelly points to a black transparent lace short dress
"it does." millie agrees
"ooh, and this one too, mills." kelly points to another short dress that exposes the side of the hips
"if only they were combined." millie chuckles under her breath
"i'm sure malcom could find something for you." kelly smiles, referring to her stylist
