"so about that role, did you talk to kate? did you get it?" robert asks as they all eat their breakfast. except for millie of course, juice is no breakfast.
"no." millie sighs quietly
"no what? you didn't get it or you did not talk to kate because-"
"dad, can we just eat breakfast and not talk about millie's career for once." charlie cuts him off as millie mouths a small 'thank you' to him
"i'm talking to my daughter right now, don't you dare cut in. did nana teach you manners back in england?" robert scoffs loudly as everyone took that as a cue to stay quiet, "call kate later. i heard you guys will need to attend the sag awards next month."
"sag awards!? we're not even nominated... right? we just started filming." millie drops her fork in shock
"jesus millie, call kate. i have no idea." robert rolls his eyes whilst shaking his head in annoyance
"fine. i have to go to set now." millie stands up and grabs her bag
ignoring all her family members, she walks out of the house and into the car to be greeted by leo.
"morning leo." she gives him a small fake smile
he smiles back, "morning millie, i haven't see you in a while." he chuckles as she nods in agreement
"yes, it's been a while." she buckles her seatbelt before looking out of the window
a good 30 minutes pass by and finally she arrives onto set an hour early. she made sure to fix up her sad looking appearance first and then she proceed to exit the car.
she slowly walked into set, her head down with her hands in her pockets in attempt to not get noticed at all.
sag awards...
if sag awards were coming up that means she has to lose a ton of weight beforehand. that means no eating at all.
could life get any worse?
"mills!" she hears finn shout before she walks into her trailer
yes, it can get worse.
"hey finn." she gives him a small smile
"how is my stella this morning? what'd you eat?" he asks, walking towards her and embracing her into a hug
"j-just eggs, stuff you'd eat for breakfast." she lies with a small chuckle at the end
he smiles, "you ready for tonight then?"
she nods, the only thing she has actually been looking forward to, "yeah, i am."
he gives her a peck on the forehead, "great. look, i'll totally stay and kiss you till we have to go to set but gaten apparently needs help with this stupid thing. i'll see you later, okay?"
she giggles softly, "yes you will, mike."
he rolls his eyes playfully, giving her a quick kiss, "shout for me if you need to." he runs off
she chuckles to herself before shutting the door and dropping her stuff to the ground. she sighs heavily and plops herself onto the couch.
suddenly she hears a small ding from her phone and she takes it out and reads the message.
kate: millie honey, i have some news for you later. i'll call you after set.
she sighs, typing a quick 'okay' before putting down her phone.
she stares up at the ceiling, trying to find different shapes and patterns on the ceiling.
not long later, she hears a soft knock on the door and she quickly mutters a 'come in' and the door opens.
