12. friends? lovers?

*Rowan*

I love Elizabeth. I do, i really do. But then why am i feeling like this with Valkyrie?
I thought back to when we met Ron and Rosi...why was i jealous?
Jaiden annoys me. For what reason i have no clue.
I held VV until she fell asleep, i read her file the day we were married, her father doesn't seem like a good man, hungry for power, no compassion for others. It concerned me that other gangs had her file.
'Ro? What are you doing?' VV asked
'Oh! You fell asleep and i didn't want to leave you alone' i whisper, she smiled and patted the bed, scooting over. I hesitated but then lay beside her, she turned suddenly and buried her face into my neck, i was so shocked i didn't move.
'Let's stay like this for a while' she mumbled. With that i fell asleep.

??? POV
I peaked through the door and i saw Rowan and Valkyrie... They were holding each other, even in their sleep.
I turned and jumped out the window landing silently on my feet, i ran to the streets and slipped into the black car

'Did you see anything?'

'Yes i did, Rowan seems to be warming up to Valkyrie' i report.

'In what way'

'They were laying together' i say

'You hear that Jeremy? It's all going to plan'

I look at Jeremy, Valkyrie was his sister afterall, he looked fine with it except the tension in his jaw.

*Valkyrie*
I woke up...holding something... I opened my eyes and they were met by Ro's sleeping face.
He looks so handsome...NO NO VALKYRIE STOP! Oh my gosh...how did i...why did i...how did i...? I shake my head.
Sweet cheese and crackers how am I supposed to tell him about Elizabeth?
Rowan yawned and opened his eyes and i looked away, he chuckles.
'Morning, you sleep well?'
HOLY MOSES HIS VOICE OH MY DEAR AUNT PRISCILLA!
'I..i slept fine thank you' OH NOOO NOT THE BLUSH!
He chuckled and got up.
'How would you like to spend today at the beach?'he asked
'Oh my gosh that would be awsome!' I smile and he leaves me to get ready, i wear a pair of shorts, a tank top and a flannel.
I leave the room and smile brightly
'When are we leaving?' I ask
'Right now' Ro grins.

We get in the car and settle down for the three hour car ride. I become increasingly anxious, how am i going to tell him about Elizabeth? WHEN? I would have said now but...i don't want to ruin our day...and the driver is sketchy.
I take a deep breath and turn to him
'Ro, i-' i was cut of by a horn, i whip round just in time to see a truck, the driver didn't slow, he sped up, i look at Rowan panicked and he grips me tight. We were thrown forward and i screamed, everything was splotchy, i couldn't see properly, i gave into the darkness.

*Rowan*

In the car VV turned towards me about to say something when we heard a horn. There was a truck coming straight for us and the driver sped up, i turned and griped VV and held her tightly as we crashed. She was flung forward by impact while i slammed into the side of the car. I sat up and groaned. My leg. I looked down at Valkyrie but she had passed out. Oh my god, there was a giant piece of glass stuck in her shoulder and another in her stomach.
Oh my god.
I look up and see that the driver was gone, i heard sirens.
'VV just hold on. Please.' She groaned
'VV? Valkyrie? Can you hear me?'
She nodded.
'Oh my...thank God' i sighed with relief
'It hurts' she whimpered
'I know, help is coming' i sooth,
She whimpers.
The paramedics come and immediately start working on her. I closed my eyes.

??? POV
'Did you do it?'

'Yes sir'

'When will she recover'

'Around a month or two'

'We can work during that time.' He laughs.
