13. Hospital

*Valkyrie*

I groaned and i tried to move but a sharp pain went through my body, i yelped and opened my eyes.
'VV? Oh my gosh you're awake' Ro sighed with relief
'What happened?' I croaked, i vaguely remember the accident...
'The driver slammed the car into an oncoming truck, some glass got stuck in your shoulder and stomach, but they removes it. You were very lucky.' He sighs
'How long have i been asleep?'
'Three days.'
'THREE DAYS? I-OUCH!' I yell
'Are you alright? Do you want me to call the doctor? Do-' i cut him off.
'Aw your still worrying?' I joke but he doesn't laugh.
'You nearly died Valkyrie...how can you be joking around?' He asks and i sigh.
'Because I'm bored...and it's better to smile through the pain' i say. I give him a smile and he returns it.
'Elizabeth wanted to see you so i will leave you guys to catch up' he left the room.
HOW IS HE NOT SUSPICIOUS? SERIOUSLY.
Elizabeth perched on the seat and smiled lightly. I noticed she had began wearing slightly baggy clothes.
'This room is tapped. I saw the listening device when i walked in' she whispered.
'i hope you're doing alright, i heard tou wouls be staying here for a month or two' She takes a deep breath 'have you told Rowan I'm pregnant yet?' She asks.
Seriously? I nearly died and she's concered about her little secret. AND DIDN'T SHE SAY THE ROOM IS TAPPED? DOES SHE WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW?
I sighed 'no I haven't. I didn't get a chance to cause you know...i was dying' i say. Her cheeks go pink slightly.
'Um yeah I'm sorry, there was a girl screaming for you in the waiting room...i think i will let you guys catch up' she leave quickly.
Rosi bursts through the door ugly crying.
'OH MY GOD I THOUGHT I LOST YOU' She wailed, she hugs me tightly until she was convinced that i wasn't dying she sniffed and rummaged around her bag then pulled out a tub of ben and Jerry's icecream.
'How on earth did you have that in your bag? And it didn't melt!' I exclaim and she raises an eyebrow
'I'm magic' she giggles. She opens the tub and gives it to me with a spoon,
'Oh Rosi, what would i do without you' i sigh and she smiles 'i don't think i could survive' i say dramatically.
'EXACTLY! WHAT DO YIU THINK I WENT THROUGH THESE PAST FEW DAYS' I thought i was goinf to loose my bestie' she sniffs again but suddenly perks up. 'Rowan was very concerned, no one could visit cause he was hogging up the room, looks like you've found a mans for life!' She smirks and wiggles her eyebrows and i snort then wince.
'That reminds me. Since I'm married YOU'RE next' i say and she chokes on the icecream.
We laugh and she updates me on all the drama that happened while i was sleeping.
'Kori? Are you awake?'
I open my eyes to see Jeremy
'Hey JJ. Wow! Two visits in a month! I must me lucky!' I joke but JJ sniffs is..is he crying? JJ never cries,
'I am so sorry Kori' he says, his voice breaking.
'It isn't your fault i whisper' he nodds but conti ues crying, i hug him until he stops.
'You are going on a holiday after all this. No more missions for you' Jeremy says i laugh and nodd.
These months won't be too bad, Ro's looking after me and Rosi brings me icecream and gossip. Lizzie and Cas come by as well to check up...not that i expected them to.

One month later
Ok only two more days till i get discharhed! I feel absolutely fine now, i am a bit annoyed that I'm going to have a few scars but oh well they can be battle wounds.
'What sgall we do when your discharged?' Rosi asks
'She is going to stay home and rest!' Rowan says firmley.
Since i got better, they allowed two people to visit me at a time.
'Aw come on she's fine! Trust me she needs to go out. The amount of icecream this girl has eaten!' Rosi clamps a hand over how mouth.
And i laugh.
'What do you mean?' Ro asks and sheepishly, Rosi pulls out yet another tub of icecream.
Rowan roars with laughter
'Is THAT why your always so excited when Rosi comes?' He laughs and i nod,
'You know hospital food is gross!' I argue but he laughs even more.
'How did you not get caught?' He asks
'We are partners in crime!' Rosi says mischievously
'Please, you two couldn't even steal a mars bar without getting caught' he laughs.
'Remember last year at school? When every single classroom had all the chairs and tables stuck to the ceiling?' I ask and he nodds. I wait for the ball to drop. Suddenly his eyes widen,
'That was you two?'
We nodd triumphantly and we all laugh.
We are usually very careful with what we say as we know the room is tapped. Charity visited me as well, she brought me sweets which i didn't eat because it was licorice.

I waited eagerly for two days before i was finally freeee.

Now i juat have to figure out how to tell Rowan about Elizabeth.

??? POV

'She has been released sir'

'Is that so. Withdraw all the spies except Charity.'

'Yes sir'

'WHERE IS LINDA'

'Right here sir'

'Are you sure this information is correct? Or do i have to get Jeremy'

'It is correct sir'

'Good. We can begin our plan. Jaiden. We have to get him to co-operate, Ah! Jeremy, i heard you visited your sister.
What did you mean by mission?'
Jeremy stiffened
'You tapped her room?' He asks
'Yes. Now answer the question.'
'We call big events missions. It's a thing mum came up with, to make dad's business trips more fun.'

'I see' he says skeptically
