Ch - 19 The Wedding!

Experiencing something that you have already experienced before is not new...but with different feelings, it's not the same experience anymore...is it?

There was only one day left for the wedding now and both at the RC mansion and the Das Mansion (Saurabh's house) the excitement , prepations , tension everything was at height... everyone were like "yeh hua" "woh kiya" "yeh dekhlo" "tayar ho jao" "woh kahan rakha".
with eachother...The houses and everyone's hearts were filled with great enthusiasm and a new happy spirit!
As for Bondita and Anirudh their hearts were both nervous and restless at the same time...as if this was their first time marrying eachother. This feeling was totally new to Bondita as she didn't remember much about her marriage with Anirudh from earlier...and for Anirudh this was a totally different feeling too. Though they were already married for years , this wedding still felt like their first time.

The day of the wedding...

The big day arrived and the environment at both RC mansion and at Das Mansion was no less than like a festival... Friends and family had started arriving , there was a constant singing and dancing or some song echoing throughout the houses...

Everyone got ready in their newest attires...with much happiness and the same amount of nervousness , dressed traditionally Anirudh, wore his Topor and the Bor Jatri left for the bride's house with great excitement. They reached Das Mansion and stood at the entrance and Laxmi kaki greeted them for Bor Boron.

Soon Anirudh was seated on the chadnatolla and after some prayers and rituals it was time for Saat paak , Anirudh's heart was beating loud in his chest , Saurabh , Batuk and 2 of Saurabh's cousins carried Bondita on the pidi (small stool) , hiding her face , they circled her around Anirudh 7 times , the significance is they are winded up securely to each other...and there she was standing infront of him again in a red Banarasi saree with golden borders... nothing went unnoticed by Anirudh , this is just like last time... but unlike earlier Anirudh didn't hesitate , he didn't missed a second to stare at Bondita... same groom , same bride , same wedding , same rituals but different feelings. Everything is just the same yet so much had changed.
So they stood infront of each other , the pandits declared that it's time for Shubho Drishti and it's all both hearts starved for... Anirudh instantly looked towards Bondita as she removed the leaves hiding her face she lifted her lashes... Anirudh looked deep into her eyes that were traced with kajal , and the bindi on her forehead , the shringar above her eyebrows and they were just so lost in eachother's eyes.This exchange of loving glance initiates them to be together and accepted as a couple officially by the society. Suddenly everyone laughed and blushing both of them looked away...They then exchanged varmala , then Sampradan and Yagna was done , it was time for Saptapadi and after the vedic chants were done Anirudh and Bondita stood up and he hugged her from behind , reaching their hands out they poured khoi into the fire after this they sat down again then after some rituals it was time for sindoor daan, Anirudh took a pinch of sindoor and filled Bondita's hair parting with it , while some of it feel on her nose, she felt it and smiled. Laxmi kaki saw this and smiled too. Everyone were happy because it indicates that the couple are going to be together forever.
Soon all the rituals were done and the wedding was over. Bondita and Anirudh were now married with the blessings of their families. But Anirudh had something to say...
"Mein kuch kehena chahata hun..." He said and then continued looking at Bondita "Aapbsab jante hain ki mein aur Bondita pehele se pati patni the , magar pechli baar na usmein aap sabka ashirwad tha , nahi pariwaar ka pyaar , lekin aaj is shadi mein aap sab hain, apka ashirwad hai aur pyar bhi , aur aaj sabke samne mein Bondita ko kuch vada karna chahata hun... Bondita...tum sirf meri patni nahi balki meri sabse acchi dost bhi ho , mein aaj tumse yeh vada karta hun ki mein tumhe humesha khush rakhunga, tumhare vicharon ka , icchaon ka , faislon ka samman karunga , tumhara sath kabhi nahi chodunga, Bondita...Chaya toh sirf roshni mein sath deti hai ,lekin Anirudh Roy Chowdhury andhakar mein bhi tumhare sath rahega..." Listing to this Bondita looked up at Anirudh with teary eyes...she didn't say anything but her eyes had words to spill. She knew this was something Anirudh had told her earlier... Saurab had told her everything how Anirudh fought deep thoughts while marrying Bondita years ago...but this time she could see that all Anirudh had in his eyes was a genuine feeling for her.
Looking at her Anirudh too understood that what he said gave Bondita immense pleasure and honor. They smiled at eachother...
