Ch - 9 "Humara sapna"

The same night...

While Anirudh and Bondita spent a special moment that evening...At night in the study Anirudh still couldn't get out of guilt...even though Bondita forgived him and assuring that it was a little mistake...he still felt like he should do something for her...He was moving here and there in the study , when he noticed Bondita's hair pin on his table...He smiled and picked it up...he looked at it remembering Bondita and every little moment he had spent with her...he thought he would go and return her that pin...he didn't want to  miss a chance to meet her...
(🤭)
He then thought of something that would cheer up Bondita and he rushed up to her room...
He knocked at Bondita's room and she opened the door...she smiled to see her pati babu...

"Kuch chahiye pati babu?" She asked.
"Nahi Bondita woh, kuch dene aya tha , aur kuch puchne aya tha..." Anirudh replied.
"Ji kahiye" she said.
"Um woh...woh...yeh pin tum,  aaj study mein bhul gayi thi..." He handed her the pin...she took it blushing and asked him..."kuch puchna bhi tha apko"...
"Han woh...um...woh... Tulsipur ka mela toh tumhe pata hi hoga...kuch dino se zoro se chal raha hai...toh woh mein puch raha tha...kal sham ko chalogi mere sath?" He asked hesitantly...
Listening to this Bondita got excited and...
"yeh bhi koi puchne ki baat hai pati babu , chalungi naa apke sath...jane kitne salon pehele gayi thi mele mein...mera bhi bada man kar raha tha...mein chalungi naa" she answered with a huge smile on her face.
Hearing this Anirudh too felt happy..."Han...aur mein kehe raha tha ki...um...sirf tum aur mein chalenge..." Anirudh asked again hesitating... Bondita blushed and answred"jesa aap kahen"
They blushed and wishing each other good night...they went to sleep but excitement didn't let them sleep that night...

Next morning...

Ksj , Anirudh and Batuk were in the hall...
"Are bahu...zara sunna" ksj called Bondita.
"Ji kahiye kaka sasur ji" she came and answered.
"Woh aaj sham ko , kuch logon ko bulane wale hain hum, humare zamindar sathi hain...woh yahin khayenge raat ka khana...toh tum sab sambhal logi naa bahu..." Ksj told her.
Listening to this Anirudh instantly looked at Bondita , while she looked at him for a second and then looked down... seeing their nervous condition...ksj asked...
"Are kya baat hai bahu, kuch kaam hai aaj sham ko tumhe?"
"Ji kaka sasur ji , woh.." she couldn't answer...
"Woh kaka mein aaj...woh..mein aaj Bondita ko mele mein ghumane le jane wala hun" Anirudh answered in a shy tone...While Batuk laughed at his condition...
"Accha toh ismein etna ghabrane ki kya baat ho gayi...yeh toh accha hai jao ghum aao , hum apne mehemano ko kisi aur din bula lenge...wese bhi bahu etne saalon baad ghumne niklegi...mein toh keheta hun tum use pura Tulsipur hi ghuma lao...woh bhi dekhe Tulsipur mein kitna badlav aa chuka hai..." Ksj told happily.
Listening to Ksj anidita smiled at each other and thanked ksj.

That evening...

Anirudh waited for Bondita to get ready so they could leave...he finally heard her payal making sweet rhythms of her footsteps...he looked towards the direction of the sound and he saw Bondita...She looked gorgeous...Purple saree on her curves, shiny jewelry against her skin, kajal on her deep eyes , smile on her lips, dimples on her cheeks, open hair and a line of sindoor where her hair was parted...she looked perfect...
Anirudh couldn't help but stare at his beautiful wife..."chalen pati babu" Bondita said smiling at her pati babu , again caught staring..."Han...han chalo" He answered as he walked fast towards the car , with red cheeks...

It was 4pm , during the car ride... Bondita kept looking here and there , seeing her Tulsipur had developed so much in these years...her eyes would light up... Anirudh would look at Bondita every few seconds and seeing her happy he too would get happy...As they reached the mela... Seeing the crowd , shops , all kinds of food , Bondita got super excited...she didn't even wait for Anirudh and she just ran into the crowd... Smiling at her innocent wife Anirudh too walked with her... seeing the Roy Choudhry couple together after so long people were also happy... Bondita would wait at shops and whatever she liked , her pati babu would buy that for her instantly...she bought gifts for everyone...at times she would wait and talk with people she knew and recognised , take blessings from the elders she met after so long and Anirudh would just wait patiently...
It was almost time for sunset... And they were done for the day...But Bondita insisted they stay untill the sun sets... Anirudh happily agreed...They seated themselves under a tree away from the crowd...Bondita sat bringing her legs near her chest and resting her chin on her knees...she closed her eyes to enjoy the last rays of sun for that day...While Anirudh just stared at his wife...
Suddenly a little girl came and tapped on Bondita's head...she looked at her and smiled...

"Aap Bondita didi ho naa?" The little girl asked innocently.
"Han beta" Bondita Answered.
"Yeh aap ke liye hai.." the girl said...giving Bondita a bouquet of small wild flowers and roses tied together... Bondita took it happily and asked..."dhanyavad beta , par aap yeh mujhe kyun de rahe ho?"
"aap etne sundar ho... isiliye aapko yeh phul diye...aur bade hokar mein apki tarah banna chahati hun" The little girl said. she giggled at the kid's innocence and kissed her on her cheek..."par apko mere jesa hi kyun banna hai" she then asked.
"Meri baba kehete hain ki aap videsh se padh kar aye ho...aap humare Tulsipur ki peheli mahila barrister ho...sab aapka saman karte hai...apse darte hain... isiliye mujhe aapki tarah banna hai" the girl answered.
Bondita smiled and replied "han beta aap banna jo bhi apka man kare, acche se padhna likhna aaur khub mehenat karna"
Anirudh smiled with pride and happiness that his Bondita is now inspiration for little girls...
"Are beti kahan chali gayi thi, aur yeh kya...kyun pareshan kar rahi ho choti malkin ko" A woman said coming towards them.
"Are nahi nahi bodi ismein pareshani ki kya baat hai...hum toh baatein kar rahe the...aapki beti bohot shamajhdar hai...ise khub padhayiyega" Bondita Said to the woman.
"Padhana toh chahate hain hum choti malkin ji , iske baba ko bhi koi appati nahi...lekin bade bade schoolon mein padha payen esi humari hesiyat nahi...mamuli log hain hum" The woman said in a disappointed tone.
Bondita understood the problem and she replied smiling..."bus etni si baat!? Aap bhi chati hain ki apki beti school jaye , woh bhi padhna chahati hai...toh woh school jayegi...hum uthayenge iske school ka sara kharcha...kyun pati babu" she looked at Anirudh....
Anirudh was stunned at Bondita's decision...he was now more proud of his wife..."han Bondita" he replied smiling...
"Par malkin, yeh sirf meri bacchi ki samasya nahi hai... Tulsipur mein kayi ghar ese hain jahan bacche toh hain padhne k liye par school jane ki hesiyat nahi" the woman said.
Bondita and Anirudh's face grew tensed...it was true...many houses can't afford the British schooling fees...After thinking for a while Bondita smiled and said confidently..."chinta maat karo bodi..apki beti bhi school jayegi aur baki bacche bhi, yeh mera wada hai apse..." 
"Sach didi mein jaungi school, mein aur mere dost bhi!?" The little girl said in joy.
"Han beta" Bondita Answered.
"Dhanyavad choti malkin...agar meri bacchi padh paye aur ap k jesa ban paye toh isse accha aur kuch nahi ho sakta" the woman said. Bondita smiled and the girl and her mother left.
But Anirudh was confused...

"Tumne wada toh kar diya Bondita par yeh sab karogi kese?" Anirudh asked Bondita.

"Kuch socha hai mene pati babu..." Bondita said.

"Bolo..." Anirudh asked.

"Mene socha hai ki hum apna ek school banayenge , jahan ese bacche padhe jo British schools mein jana afford nahi kar pate" Bondita said hesitantly looking at Anirudh.
"Par yeh bohot bada kaam hai Bondita...karlogi?" He asked.
"Kese nahi kar paungi , aap ho naa mere sath" she answered smiling.
Anirudh's smile grew wider...he nodded "Han Bondita"...
"Aap dekhna pati babu... Tulsipur ka har baccha padhega , har ladki ko bhi shiksha milegi...yahi sapna dekha tha naa apne" Bondita said.
"Han Bondita" Anirudh said smiling.
"Humara sapna zaroor pura hoga pati babu" Bondita said smiling , with confidence in her eyes.
Anirudh just stared at her with pride eyes...he smiled that it's not just his dream anymore, Like everything else Bondita had now made his dream her's too.

toh dhoop bhi ayegi,
Shabd kagaz par chalenge
toh rah tu payegi,
Teri kismat tere haathon
se hi likhi jayegi,
Tere kadmon ke nishanaon
Par chalegi duniya,
Main teri ankhon mein
Dekhun sapna mera,
Rishta tera mera...
